- leslie replies to KLA| 6 repliesYou're the idiot. If youre getting calls for someone thats not you, all you have to do is tell/call the agency And tell us you want your number removed
- BigA replies to leslieBefore you call someone an idiot, please look in the mirror because you just replied to a 4 year old post. It appears that your organization does not follow simple rules which were written in plain language which state that within 5 days of FIRST contact a letter stating your name, physical address, the alleged amount owed, the creditors name, and a consumer rights statement that they have 30 days from the date of the letter to dispute the debt in writing and you will then stop all collection activity until the creditor has mailed such debt verification. I mean how hard is that? Instead you harass people into paying bills they do not owe.
Now before you say that is not true let us refer to the BBB page (although with this many complaints I have to wonder how much it cost you to get a B- rating): http://www.bbb.org/washington-dc-eastern-pa/b ... ndria-va-17760/
I will give you a couple of points for actually having a physical address instead of an open field with lots of rocks to crawl under.
So this means that you are desperate to earn your commissions by lying and breaking laws and that your employers sanction this behavior.
Come back and play any time you want, I need something to do over the summer until school starts and I have classes to go to. - CWG40https://plus.google.com/108179393615431418279/about?gl=us&hl=en

Google street shows a building with their name on it. Older two-story red-brick building next to a gas station. So I guess they are located in the US.- Caller: Informational post

- sister replies to BS DetectorThanks for all the info. Same thing happened to me. They called about my sister who died last Jan 2014. She was mentally [***] and a ward of the state - she had no medical debts of any kind. She was profoundly [***] and could do nothing for herself so incurring a debt was impossible. She was also on medicaid. This scam is reprehensible.
Their Franconia Rd, VA address is very close to where I live. I am notifying all kinds of authorities. - JeanneThey are trying to collect for old hospital bills from 20 years ago. This is illegal. The debt was obviously written off years ago by the original hospital plus the additional charges arose from a dispute between the hospital and the insurance company. Sorry SCC, I'm never paying you, you crooks!

- annoyed with scamsThis is indeed a scam. In 2009 this company came after my mother for hospital bills that had already been paid in full and today they called my husband for hospital bills that have been paid in full over 3 years ago. I think they hack into hospital records and try to scare you into thinking that you owe money that you don't actually owe. I ask for everything in writing and never trust these calls because I know that all my medical bills are paid in full.

- LarryS replies to leslieLeslie, idiot probably is not fair. But... I a good note, I did call the number provided and Donna who answered the phone was very nice and did remove the my number from the call list and apologized for the inconvenience. I will see what happens, usually I get this call twice a week. I will keep you guys posted.
- Matt Bieneman replies to leslieNo, you're the idiot. You don't know how these "debt collection" scams operate. They do not care who they call. They believe that their function is to harass people until they collect some money. These calls are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act as well as numerous state laws, but they do not care because these laws are never enforced. The only way to stop them is for the victims have to pay to sue each individual "debt collector", which is very expensive for the victim, and the scammers have deep pockets. Telling the "agency" has no effect; in fact, you just confirm that you are a real person so they will then call you more often. They don't care that this is illegal because they already know that they are violating many state and federal laws. You have to order them to stop by sending a certified letter, and then it may still take several weeks before they stop. They also try to hide their identity so that you can't easily contact them by mail. (They just want to get a credit card number from you over the phone, like many other scams.) They don't care that they are calling the wrong person. I have no debts but have received hundreds of calls from "debt collection" scams like this one.
- Matt BienemanThis is just another telephone scam, trying to get your credit card number. They have called me twice, even though I have no debts. It is not a legitimate debt collector, a real debt collector would not be calling someone with no debts. Remember that "debt collection" scams always use fake Caller ID information. - Candy replies to leslieWow no need in calling someone an idiot!!!!!! It's not that simple, I'VE TOLD THEM A MILLION TIMES TO REMOVE ME FROM THEIR LIST THAT THE PERSON DOESN'T WORK HERE AND I DON'T KNOW THEM, BUT GUESS WHAT????????????? THEY STILL CALL EVERY SINGLE DAY, 5 TIMES A DAY! SO WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST NOW???????????? I HATE RUDE PEOPLE!
- I Don't Know YouReceived a call from this number today, first time ever. I just rejected the call and they did not leave message. I never answer numbers I don't know. So as always for numbers I don't know, I looked it up on the web and my suspision was right, had a feeling it was scumbag scammers seeing the many similar reponses. Now its the holidays the scams are in full swing I guess trying to take advantage.
- Call type: Debt collector
- Matt BienemanThis scammer has called 12 times in the last 6 weeks. They are now starting to call 3 times in one day. Somehow they think that the more unlawful calls they make, the more likely I am to fall for their scam. They claim to be a debt collector, but if they were, they would be violating numerous state and federal laws by harassing someone with no debts. A real debt collector would know exactly who they are calling since my number has been listed in the public telephone directory for more than 14 years. So this is obviously some kind of scam using an autodialer, run by an idiot, similar to the hundreds of scam "debt collection" calls I have received since the beginning of the Bush Depression in 2008, claiming to be from various debt collectors including well-known companies such as Wells Fargo, J.P.Morgan Chase & Co., etc. It is no different from the "IRS tax collector", "lower your credit card interest rate", "auto insurance", and "duct cleaning" scams. It is just an idiot with an autodialer, trying to get your credit card number.
(I left the "Call Type" field at "Unknown" since there is no category for scams.)- Caller: "Suburban Credit" scam.

- HerndonI received a call. They asked for person by name. I said who is calling, she said a name. I said what are you calling about, she said, when you figure out who you are, you call me back. We get sales calls and things all the time. So unless you tell me who you are and why you are calling I am not passing you on. What a jerk!
