Got a call from this number and the caller tried to ambush me with an opening line of asking if i was going to be home tomorrow because legal papers where going to be served on me tomorrow. My first thought was that this was a joke, because I had not gotten a demand letter from anyone. I asked if I could record this conversation and she freaked out saying she was not giving me permission to record. I said ok have papers served on me I will be home all day, she then asked if i wanted to know who was serving papers on me.  I explained to her this whole conversation is illegal but yea tell me.
She said to call toll free 888-242-1315 its Thurston an Associates. I got my attorney on a conference line and called them. This is an illegal debt collection agency.  I have filled out an compliant with the Texas Attorney Generals office, Federal Trade Commission and Justice Department. These scubbags need to go to jail.

I, along with members of my family in Minnesota and Kansas have been receiving calls from this company looking for people and claiming to have a case number and everything. Isn't it illegal to give out details of a legitamite legal case to people NOT involved in it? I just want this to STOP!!!! They have even called relatives looking for ME...AND then call ME looking for THEM! And NONE of us have a legal debt with this agency. IDIOTS!!!

Yes it is illegal very much so. I would contact an attyn asap. You can sue them for hundreds of thousand of dollars.

I called and thought is was a scam and told them off. They have since served me with papers and are taking me to court. My lawyer says this is legitimate.

These scams routinely use shills to make posts just like yours.

I received a call from this number, also.  I live in MN.  When asked what they wanted, I was told someone was looking for me, and they proceeded to ask me "what is your full name again?".  I told them "well, you called me so you should have that information and if you're looking for personal information about me, then you've called the wrong number" and I hung up.  Not sure what they were looking for, exactly.

This scam has managed to get a Florida debt collection license, and they may be pulling consumer credit reports to get information to scam consumers. Their license information shows they have only been in business for a couple of months, yet already complaints are indicating they are engaged in a fraudulent debt collection racket.

File complaints with FTC and the Florida Attorney General.

My mother recieved a call from this number on the behalf of me asking a lot of questions and informimg her that a officer would be coming by to summons me for court and they left information for me to return a call to their office, however I did not call and a week later they called me threating me with this bogus information. My mom and I live in different states. The agent I talk to was rude and she hung up the phone in my face! This company seems to be bogus because they could not tell me what company I owed them for and the operator also stated that the company was not a collection agency.

Someone called me from this same number earlier claiming to be a person who represents a process server and that my husband had a complaint filed against him.He was unable to tell me any information about who it was. This is the second time he has called. I informed him this was a scam and that a process server would come to our house.
