- Jim Bob replies to kikodpr| 2 repliesDon't associate all Georgian's to be like that. And you are more to hear something like that from Mississippi or Alabama or even Louisiana.
- Southern Gal replies to lIf you grew up in the South, you would know what a Southern Black voice sounds like, just as you would know a Cajun voice. It's not racist, it's a very distinct accent. Geechee and Gullah are two more that very few can understand and they are both spoken by Black people in Southeastern South Carolina and Southeastern Georgia. Oh, I guess you have trouble with someone saying Hispanic, Indian, British, Irish, Scotts, Welch, German, Chinese etc., voices when they are refering to other people speaking American English with a distinct accent.

- MimiI don't pick up calls from numbers I don't recognize, or from out of my area. I figure they will leave a message if it's important and I'll call back. Since I get 9-10 scam calls a day, I pick up very few calls.
Therefore, I can't relate to many accents except the Indian or Pakistani man from "Microsoft" who has called 3 times "with authorization to take control of my computer due to a security problem." Fortunately I had seen the warning on TV and in the newspaper about this scam. Another scam with a heavy accent relates to the IRS taking me to court for unpaid taxes---also publicized on TV and in the paper. We received 2 of those this week.- Caller: Athens Area
- KayGetting calls late night from above number

- Me replies to Jim Bob| 1 replyBe like what? MANY black people have a distinctive way of talking that, as said earlier, is easily recognized particularly if you are from a part of the country where black people are often the majority; there is nothing racist about making that determination.
