Man with very heavy Indian accent saying I needed to contact him about a lawsuit & not to ignore the call.  Told me to call back at (707) 348-2036.  When I did, it rang & rang, and then finally gave a message with the same accent to "try your call again later".  It reminded me of those credit card airline rewards commercials with the heavily accented guy answering the phone & saying his name was Peggy.

Today 1/11/11 I received a phone call from this odd number 052-589-834 leaving me a message to call them back right away at 707-408-2901. The message stated that a law suit has been filed against me and I should not ignore this message but to call them right away to avoid trouble and to ask for a Selena Thompson. The voice was from a female with a very pronounced Indian accent. I did call the number back. I spoke with a gentleman who also had a very strong Indian accent. He claimed that papers have been filed against me from a payday loan company by the name of Money USA for a loan in the amount of $300.00. And tomorrow morning 2 sheriffs would be arriving at my home to take me to court. He read out my address and last four numbers of my SS. I asked him to give the name of the agency that the sheriffs are from, so that I can call to get more info on this matter. He stated that he would call me back within half an hour that was almost 2hrs ago. This person was very rude and unprofessional for someone who was from a law office. I then decided to Google the 707 phone # and was relieved to read all the numerous complaints of similar experience. Thanks so much.

Yes I have had the same thing today 1/11/11.  Indian accent. Saying I had taken out some loan...which i HAVE NOT!!!  He had my SS# which is very scary....I did tell him I would be reporting them to the BBB and my local authorites...Ppl beware b/c these ppl are scam artists...The call I received was from a "Ronnie Black" phone number was 707-348-2036.   DO NOT give these ppl any information as your identity could easily be stolen!!!

Just got a call from this number and it was a man with a thick Indian accent saying his name was "Victor Green," yea right. Said something about he was calling from Law Investigation Department. Total scam and I told him so and he immediately hung up. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION WHATSOEVER!!!!

You should call the FTC and report them. They are useing unfair collection practices and are violating Federal law.

This is completely a scam. I had never taken a loan out with Cashnet so I took down the number from this man with an Indian Accent saying he was from the "Law and Investigations department" (and actually indian hold music as well) (707)348-2036. The man was extremely rude to me and told me that if I did not pay $300 + dollars that this was the last day I could pay this and they would file a lawsuit and I would have to pay all sorts of legal fees. I do have a payday loan out with a company called Great Sky which I am current with without missing any payments. I called them to see if this had anything to do with them and they said no my loan is in good standing with them and this is a scam call. She told me to ask for the PVC code and if they can't answer that it is definitely a scam. Well I called back (which took a while because the first five times I called it said "busy now" and hung up on me) and not only did they not provide a code, they attempted to completely badger me with scare tactics, did not even have the date I took out the loan, so I just laughed at them and told them they have some nerve trying to scam innocent people out of money and I would be reporting them to the BBB and police. They said okay well we are filing with court and you will be charged court fees, they have proof. I said what proof? You can't even give me an exact figure that I owe you've changed it more than once, you stole my information from another company on the internet. Cashnet was helpful btw, I contacted them and let them know there is a scammer impersonating them and trying to extort money. Cashnet told me not to give them anything, I wasn't even in their system and they will email me some information on the fraud reporting. She said unfortunately the only thing I won't be able to stop is the phone calls, so I've mostly alerted everyone I know the tell these people off if they call. I also told

I recieved a call with this same MO today, called back, argued for a bit.  first clue was they listed my whole SS# to me without verification of who i was and that set me off on a roll.  Then when I called back and asked for the supervisor and I was called many names and swore at.  I was also told I would have to be in court this friday (today is tues) and that I would recieve notice in the mail within 2 days.  I argued that was against the law, also against the law to give out my personal info without verification.  Luckily they have an OLD bank info (listed that as well). claimed they were from a law firm in san fransisco.  Middle eastern accent, could not give or send verification.

Claimed I owed approx 350$ to a "parent company" called cashsnatch.com who owned 50 payday lone companies.  Could not give me specific info on the company I took a loan out with.  Talked to  victor first, then a Sabastian Taylor.  Talked to 2 other people but did not get names.

I just received a call from a very strange number as well just a few minutes ago and my caller id said 0000.  Of course I didn't answer but they did leave me a message.  A gentleman with a very heavy Indian accent left me a message said there was a pending lawsuit againt my  name and social security number.  Of course I know this is a scam and I have had dealings with them before...but it does become very annoying when they start calling my work.  Fortunately I work in a small office and everyone knows it is a scam.  I have already changed my bank account from the last time I dealt with them because they had my bank account number.  I may just call them back to see how much information they actually have on me.

I have been receiving calls from 707-348-2036 at my work!  Strong indian accent saying that there is a lawsuit against me and that my SS has been blocked by the Federal Government!  Scary, my job could be in jeopardy if they keep calling!!  What can we do to make them stop.  I registered my phone with the Do Not Call Registry.

Received a call from a gentleman with a indian accent that I owed money and if I didnt pay he would throw my wife in jail.

I just received a call today from these ppl. On my caller ID it showed +0000, they left a message. I usually don't answer calls from numbers I don't know. They called earlier but left no message. When they did it was a male with a strong india accent. He said he was calling from Law and Investigation at ACS, he mentioned there was a lawsuit filed against me and my social security is blocked by the US Government. I needed to call him, if I didn't he would file suit with the courts.

We have got a phone call from a david williams @ 7073482036. He was saying the same thing that he is to everyone else. Our local authorities said to answer call if he does call back and report them again. He was calling for an employee that no longer works for us.
