    Call came at 3:20 PM 18 Nov.2016. Caller ID showed UNAVAILABLE which means I automatically disregard and don't answer. Left no message on voicemail.

    Since the NO CALL LIST is absolutely USELESS, AT&T should make MORE space available to their customers to block these rat bastids numbers and their spam calls!

    The do not call list works great with legitimate companies but it has no magical power to stop scammers.

    Got the basic plan via Ooma for $5/month. No way to block these pricks. All I can do is go in my "call logs" and label this number as SPAM. That way once they call back and I don't recognize the number... at least I'll see the name marked as SPAM. This number calls several times per day and does not leave a message. I'm getting to the point where I'll never ever answer my home landline again.

    Here's the thing: just don't answer the phone! If you have an answering machine or call answering set up on the line, disable it for a couple days. If nobody answers after five or six rings, autodialers typically bump it off their list. I went old school and disconnected my machine because I'm home most of the time to answer the phone, anyway. The number of repeat calls from bogus numbers has dropped significantly -- I only get two or three a week now as opposed to a half dozen or more a day.
