Tried to call the number back but it pauses and then goes to busy.  I answered but they hung up.

they had my number and my last name
would not identify themselves or say who at my number they wanted

Like others, I received a phone call from these people saying that my medical alert was ready to be shipped. I kept trying to ask them if anyone at my number had ordered this item (I know no one had) but "John" kept talking - it must have been a recording. I called the number back and it rang but then clicked off.

I work for a home health company they are trying to get old folks to start the safety pendant. They are telling them that it is fully covered by Medicare and Medicaid. This is not true. they are just trying to get these people in a contract and stick them with the bill.

No message left on answering machine; no caller ID, just number.

Recorded phone solicitation about "fallen and I can't get up" system.  This violates the state and federal DNC List.  Report these calls on the FTC and FCC web pages, and give the authorities links to web pages like this.

Called at 10:29pm and left only whistling as the message.

Tried to call them back immediately and the message was that the phone was no longer in service.

This is a debt collector, posing as a medical alert company, attempting to verify your info in order to collect a debt. Do not verify or provide any info - not your name, your phone number, your address, your credit card number - NOTHING!

Called me and immediately started talking.  John said he was from shipping and my emergency medical alert system was ready to be delivered.  I just hung up...I don't ever talk to people who aren't courteous enough to ask me if they can speak with me.
I guess I didn't get the complete spiel, but it is definitely fraudulent as I have ordered no such thing!

Another call from 713-489-0193, this one at 815 PM last night. The recorded male voice said, "This is John from the shipping department (what company, John??).  I'm calling to set up a time to deliver your medical alert system.  This is the sytem that you have seen advertised on TV.  Doctors and hospitals all over the country recommend these systems.  Uh.. let me see, uh, (sound of papers rustling) it looks like its already been paid for, probably by a relative or family friend, so all we need to do is set up a time for it to be delivered."

I hung up at that point and made a complaint to the FCC at their do-not-call hotline at 1-800-382-1222.  I have John's spiel memorized because I have heard it so much from getting at least ten calls in the past couple of months.  If you listen long enough, a recorded female voice tells you to press 1 to speak to a live representative and set up a delivery time, press 5 if you already have your system, or press 9 to be taken off their calling list.  I have pressed both 5 and 9 at different times.  If you press 5, you are transferred to a live person trying to sell you a system. If you press 9, they hang up and call back in a few days with the same recording.  Wish the FCC would shut off this number.

Answered the call at 11:41 am on June 18 and it dropped. Tried to call them back immediately and the message was that the phone was no longer in service. Ugh. Called before on June 12 at 5:29 pm, too.

Lying jerk called with spoofed number. Described him and his company in impolite terms. He was polite!  Doesn't make him less a crook.  He called a DNC number and had the nerve to act like he was legit.  Said his company was Senior Alert Care - doesn't exist.  He is a lying crook.  Don't fall for it.  I will report him, but won't do any good as long as he is allowed to spoof number and address.  What a piece of

These guys should go back to selling their daughters to HIV infected drug dealers.  It would be a step up.

Answered the ring, the caller immediately hung up. I called Verizon and this is a disconnected number. Someone is using this number as a forwarding number to hide their call.
Has anyone been burglarized after this call?

I got a call last night from this number and let it go to voicemail. Suprise...they didn't leave a message. I just tried to call it and it says the number has been disconnected.

I have received two calls from this number.  They seem to be debt collectors, but they ask for a different person each time they call.  They never ask for me.   I picked up the call while the person was leaving a message today & advised them no one by that name lived here.  The woman replied, Oh, I guess they gave me the wrong info.  My question is "Where have they gotten my phone number?"  I have no debts. I plan to block this numer, as it is probably some kind of scam.

I live in Austin, and these people call me about twice a day, I listen to the message and hang up. I would really like to block this number.

This telemarketer keeps calling.  I hang up and he calls again.  I'm on the Do Not Call list!  Now what do I do?  I've tried blocking his number, but he still calls!
