I checked with the FTC- If your number is, in fact, a business or published as a business then it is legally permissible for them to cold-call it. I know it sucks, I deal with it FAR MORE than I care for. It's why I implemented an auto-attendant to screen most of them out. They usually don't listen to machines and never dial an extension or "press 1 to speak to a person".

Various people from Martini, Hughes & Grossman have called our office number. They ask to speak with the head of accounting. (suspicious) I ask for more information and they say they're "calling on behalf of Judge Hughes". When I challenge them and ask for more information they get upset, tell me they will call back and hang up on me. They are soliciting business for collections. We have zero need for a collections agency. I have asked numerous times to be removed from their call list.

The caller id shows "Cypress CA" and they won't talk to the answering machine, so they're just a minor nuisance, since I don't have to answer calls I don't recognize. I love the "BUSTED" stamps on some of the previous, obviously fake reviews listed above.

Called our office last night, after hours, but left no message. Caller ID listed the number and "CYPRESS CA".

And called our office again today. Same caller ID. I said hello several times, and heard only silence. I advised them I was going to block the number if they did not pick up. A male hispanic voice popped up (background noise like call center) and wanted our accounts receivable department. Told him they were not in yet, but offered to assist. He said he would call back later and hung up.

That is funny because I could not understand his company name either when he stated it twice for me to try and understand I just said "sorry we are not interested and disconnected" He called my place of employment asking to speak with someone in charge of accounting.
