Non stop calls from Capital One stating they have "options" for me.  I am not behind on my payments, never have been.  I do not ever return the calls, but am getting charged for the calls since it goes to my cell phone.  WHAT UP WITH THAT!!??

714 374-8035 calls me up to 5 times a day with a Capital One offer. I never pick up, but am none the less tired of this and would appreciate them stopping

I picked it up 1st time by mistake thinking that it might be a work call...  No one picked up on the other side I said hellow a number of times b4 hearing a voice as I was hanging up.. they called back again, leaving no VM. I have no outstanding dept and I have NEVER done business with Chase or that former company that was ran into the ground *wamu ;-)   ...  THIS IS FRAUD!  REPORT REPORT REPORT THEM NOW!

This is supposedly CapitalOne calling to offer options for making payment over the phone. They have called me every day at least three time and sometime six times each day in the last month. II usually let the voicemail answer and they leave an automated message form "Linda". Today I answered the number to get more info. Guess what, its not Linda. It was a guy who sounded like he was from India. He knew some personal details about my CapitolOne account and wanted me to make payment with him over the phone. I told him that I make my payments online and that I wanted him to take my cell phone umber off his list. He immediately hung up on me.

Me too. However, I am not behind on the payments and always pay on time. I am thinking of reporting them for harrassment.

I had the same call.  Saying a credit card of mine was past due and tried to set up a pay by phone.

I got a call from NCO with a Ref # to call back with, never received anything in the mail from them, how do I know if they are out of NJ?

It seems that they are back at it, I jsut got my second this morning (within a 1 1/2 of the first) from this number. They left a message this time, saying that it was "Linda from Capital One".

I like this method!

I hate that Cap 1 will not consider any workout options...I like to get a live person and ask them to hold a minut while I set the phone by the TV and leave it there till they hang up.....I figure I will waste a little of THEIR TIME!!!

This is a scam saying they are from Capital One.

I tried to explain "my wife has been in the hospital off and on for over two years , this leaves us with no extra money", I have been tracking Capital One's incoming phone numbers, so far there are 30 different numbers with area codes from all over the country, this list is still growing, To try and talk with any of these people about stopping the calls was a total waist of time. At first I was bothered by Capital One but then other debt collectors started calling with another 42 different numbers. It was at a point I was getting over 50 calls a day out of 10 credit cards. I now have a 30 number call blocker for the most persistent and a 170 call ring controller for Capital One and no longer do I have to hear Linda's voice, my friends can still get through, this is heaven. I am responsible for my own good credit so I don't care if these people ever get paid. By the way, as I write this I received a call from 866-929-5307 (Unavialable) on the caller ID, I answered this one, it was Capital One. Sorry about the long story but don't be in intimidated, just do the best you can.

I should have added to check what a collector can and can-not legally do in your state, you should be able to find these at the State Attn.General Office websight.

this number is calling my cell phone every day (sometimes more than once) stating they have exciting new offers from capital one

i keep getting these calls from "linda" and its b.s.tryed calling back and got nothing this shif nesds to stop they even tryed my office wich cant be capitL one cause i never gave them my number

these f' n people keep calling me, i finally answerd. but just to ask if a was a specific person. I told them the ole you called me who are you , what you want, but no info was givin as they were trying to find out who answered the phone.. they called me i yelled at here and ask her "don't you know who your calling" . told her to take me off hee calling list. as i am not the person she's calling for.whooo let her call me again after i alredy told her to remove this number as its no longer valid for this person.
