This number showed up on my caller ID but since we didn't recognize it, no one answered the phone. I blocked my number and called it back and got this message: "We're sorry, but all of our counselers are busy helping other families. Please leave your name and number and someone will call you back as soon as possible." Obviously I wasn't going to leave a message. If that number shows up again, I'll just answer the phone, "State Police, please state your emergency." or "Wal-Mart, how may I direct your call?" Or maybe "Joe's  Pizza, is your order for pick up or delivery?" That usually gets us off junk calling lists.

My mum got several calls over a few days from this guy asking "Do you own a small dog?". As soon as he my mum stopped answering this number, our dog became missing.. Tried to call him back, he didn't answer.

Called 9/3 about 9 AM.  Showed up as "Unknown Name".  Being on a "no call list" doesn't stop trash calls like this!

Just received a phone call asking for the parents of my daughter, using first name only. I asked who am I  speaking to and he hung up.

We have gotten calls from this number numerous times, no one is there. They are very annoying, wish they would stop. If anyone can tell me how to make them stop let me know.

Received call this morning at 8 am.  Caller was soliciting SAT study material.  This happens every year around the same time when kids go back to school.

Got 3 calls from this number,,,same routine, call, ask for my daughters parents. First time ask what this was about they hung up, second time I started to mutha eff them they hung up, third time I filed charges with fcc following the link above someone typed in...Also just called back the number and got John Leo's voicemail, left him a message saying to call me back with the name of his company so I can sue him in small claims court. Since I can sue anyone here in America lets see what happens, I'm unemployed anyway and have all day to [***] these people and I could use the money. Do we have a name of the company ???

These fools called my parents home (which I have not lived in for 20 years, as long as I have been married) looking for my son. They won't leave messages. My son did not give out my parents' number so how they got it I don't know. You call the number and all they say is thank you for calling but all our counselors are busy with other families. They better get busy with something else. I have reported them so hopefully they leave people alone.

same here - 9th grader - SAT solicitation. Looks like our school district has sold our kids names and phone numbers to these Telemarketers. She hasn't even signed up for the SAT yet.

They called here and it was about SAT's.. They said my son would be taking them and wanted to send us a study guide for the pc than later says after 30 days if you like it you can send us either 189.00 or 289.00, so I hung up on him...

My son graduated from college in 2007 - I have told them that, but they keep calling.  It could be a long haul for those who are getting calls in 9th grade.  I asked them to take me off the list, but they keep calling.  I renewed my number on the National Do Not Call Registry, so I hope that helps when it kicks in in about 30 days.

i'm in 10th grade and they just called my cell phone, they asked for my parents, and i asked who they were they started to say social....
then hung up.

I, too, have been getting calls from this number and my caller ID just displays it from Anaheim.  When I answer I get dead air, no one there.  I have 2 kids in high school, 9th & 10th, so judging by the rest of the folks who have been posting, I will surely ignore the call since it's probably a solicitation.

Isn't caller ID wonderful?  Did not recognize the # so didn't answer.   Now that I have read these posts I will know to ignore all future calls!    Thanks!

Got two phone calls from them, but I didn't answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number.  Looking at these other comments, if it is for SAT's my child is in 7th grade.

Got the call, said my 9th grader had expressed interest in SAT prep DVD's at a college fair.  I said great, give me your name and number and I will call you back after I talk to my child.  I never had a telemarketer hang up so fast.

I keep getting this call on my cell phone and when I answer it is a hang up call.  I call back and get the same message that "all of our counselor's are busy and to leave a message"  When I wait to leave message the mailbox is full.  They call me every 3-4 days and I am sick of it.

Got a call yesterday from this number. Asked to speak to the parent of (my son's name).  I asked who he was and why he was calling before giving any information.  He was very vague and said my son had signed his name at a career fair at school and was interested in college information.  Since my son is in 10th grade and hasn't been to a career fair since 7th grade I was a bit suspicious.  He also kept using my son's nickname, which my son never signs on any forms.  When he found out my son was a sophomore and not a junior, he hung up on me.  I called the number back to demand who he was and why he hung up on me, I got the voice mail message saying "we are busy counseling other families, please leave a message," then another voice said the mailbox was full.  VERY infuriating!  And it's upsetting that our children's information is out there floating around for sleazy telemarketers like this.
