    Very rude,nasty young man on the phone asking for my ex husband. We've been divorced since 1981. Did not give me his name or company. I told him to go phish somewhere else and not to call me again. Crossing my fingers that that works but not holding my breath!

    I have received from this company giving all my information on a voice mail and harassing me several times a day. They have called my working with a recorded message giving information and saying legal action will be taking action. I don't know who these people are and what they are talking about. But by their reviews online it seem this what they are know for "HARASSING". I would appreciate these call to stop.

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    •is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    •refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    •asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    •exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

    •Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

    •Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

    •Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

    •Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

    •Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

    We have been receiving calls from this number 714-794-5280  the last few days and our Voice mail clearly states who owns the phone number and yet they leave messages for a Larry Brown. They gave a Case # in the message pertaining to this individual. The Weldy's are the owners of the number 574-322-5553 since October of 2013. There is no one by the name of Brown or otherwise at this number. This needs to stop immediately!!!

    Oops, mistake in the number that has been calling us lately.  Here is the correct number 714-785-5380!!  My husband was told that apparently he needs to take a day to himself because all he did was start off saying that there was no one by the name of the man they were looking for here and that they had the wrong number!!  That was it!! Ugh! Not happy at all! I am calling our Cell Carrier and changing his number now! Good Luck to any of you who are receiving calls from this number! Your going to need it! They don't listen!

    Received a voice mail stating that they are neither a sales company nor a collection agency and that they need to speak to me about a property on a particular street. I have NO property.  I've received other messages like the other people who have commented here - a recording stating that it's imperative that they hear from me today.  The messages identify them as the Huntington Group which seems to be untrue as well since the only Huntington Group handles mortgages and real estate.  I'm NOT calling them back!

    Same as everyone else; vmail on landline " Huntington Group", trying to reach you and haven't heard back (this was the first message to my knowledge). Imperative they get a call back TODAY.
    Of course as this is a landline and they didn't mention needing to speak with anyone in particular I knew it was BS.
    Hope there is a special place in hell for companies like this.

    Got the same message stating they were from the Huntington Group and that it was IMPERATIVE that we get in touch with them today. Caller ID showed:  "World Wide Reco...."   That right there sounds fishy when the 2 names don't match.  I did not respond.  I have no business with anyone in California. I have also received calls from the Huntington Group from a different phone number.
