received a call from 716-469-7845 saying I entered to win a trip either in a grocery store or shopping mall a long time ago and I am now a winner.  I kindly declined, for which the caller stated that I probably forgot and really, I did.  I asked to be removed from their calling list, and he hung up.  Caller had an accent with call center background noise, never addressed me by name.

Criminal TeleScammer.  New York Criminal TeleScammer calling California number; First call is a scam primer asking for personal information, then they hardball you.  Block them, don't answer.  Ignores and breaking laws.

Been getting calls from this number. They hang up, generally, but the last one was a funky "Hello" in response to me.

Received a call from a "Private Number" according to my caller ID, which also provided this number. Really annoying to get these phone calls.

That's what I got, "you must have forgotten."  Also "someone may have signed you up."  Seriously, it's sad that anyone still falls for these spiels!

I always check 800.notes.com before I answer an out-of-state call (Buffalo, NY) that I don't recognize.  Thank goodness for this service - saved me LOTS of hassles from LOTS of annoying telemarket scammers.

Did you even GO to the mall? My husband was called and told that he had filled out a slip at the mall in Rochester. We are in FLORIDA! He has family near Buffalo...but hasn't even BEEN to NY in YEARS. We were just worried as to HOW they GOT his number...Any ideas anyone?

Tried to call back and was told it was a non-functional number.  Have a prepaid cell and it costs me if I check these numbers.  One called at 10 til 1 in the morning.  Phone company only blocks a certain number of phone numbers.  They call through some computer system, all kinds of ways.  Now if I don't know the number and it is not identified I don't answer it and delete them

This doesn't apply to me then and I still get these calls all day and until 1 am

Received a call a few minutes ago. The woman who called didn't call me by my name, but asked if I remembered filling out a slip to win a vacation. That' all she said. Didn't say who she was with or who I filled out a "slip" with. She just asked the question. I told her no, leave me alone and don't call back and then I hung up.

No message....likely a telemarketer, based on other messages on this site.

They called, and hung up.  Added to the blocked numbers.

Just got the call same script ...but couldn't  tell me who he was looking  for I told him to remove my number and get bent then hung up

Got the call to - the caller ID is 716-469-7845, and they asked the same questions.  I answered them with the same level of integrity that their honest give away is being poised.  :)

I'll look forward to mind f*cking the clown that calls next.

Just got a call from this number. I never answer calls from unrecognized numbers. I did a search of the number and found this page. Glad I didn't answer. Scumbags!

Just received a call from this number.  He said I filled out a contest entry a few months ago.  I told him no, I didn't, and he said I must have forgotten.  He actually asked for my husband, even though it was my cell phone number he called.  Neither of us would ever fill out a contest entry.  Scam.  We're both on the do not call registry and I'm filing a complaint.  The only reason I answered the call is because I have family in the Buffalo area.  Blocked.

Just received a call from this number and they left no message.  I never answer numbers I don't know and then I always google them to see if they show up on one of these sites.  If they know me personally or if I have actually done business with them, then they'll leave a message. I will block this number with my cell phone provider if they call again.

Well, they must be on a roll today.  Some idiot scammer.  I was polite (I always try to be with the initial greeting, but that's it.  I heard something about "remember filling out an entry" yada yada "last summer?"  Well, no, and frankly sir, I can't understand you.  He hung up on me!  Well, I'll block and go from there.  This crap is getting old.  I believe my silly do not call standing has not expired, so I will see about filing a complaint.
