Automated message saying name and SS# is attached to a complaint. Does not say who specifically. Probably a bottom feeder debt collector trying to collect on debt that is way past statue of limitations in my state.

Got recorded message from this number saying  "we have legal papers in our office with your social security # on them and need you to call".   Got the same message two days ago from #716-256-1552.   Since it's a recording, there's no way to request they remove me from their call list, and get a busy signal when I call back.    These calls are coming in on my cell phone and I've given that number to only a select few people.  So don't know how anyone else would get my cell number.  It must be ROBO calls..  Shouldn't be a debt collector, as some have suggested, 'cause I've never had any outstanding debts.  Any suggestions to stop this would be appreciated.

Invest in a call blocker and do not pick up on calls you do not recognize.  This call is almost certainly a debt collector.

Interesting. I got a call from this number today. According to Bizapedia ARC Arbitrations is owned by Alfonzo Maye. That name also shows up in a post here at 800notes for 716-688-7183

    https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-716-688-7183/2

"This hrrassment has been going on for quite some time.  Stopped for  a while.  Today it started up again !!!!  a man "Alfonzo Maye" called asked for my daughter. Told him she was not here.  He asked would I give her a message>  I said sure, because I recongized his voice.  I knew he was with Mareno & woods before he told me.  This has been an ongoing saga. "

Mareno & Woods is a dummy company set up for Marshall & Ziolkowski.

    In the same thread

"Attorney General Cuomo’s investigation revealed that collectors regularly demanded payment for non-existent debts or substantially inflated the amount owed on an actual debt. Using their false law enforcement identities, collectors coerced and cajoled terrified consumers into agreeing to make payments. Frightened at the prospect of arrest and humiliation, consumers authorized withdrawals from their checking accounts, sent Western Union moneygrams and/or money orders out of fear."

Now we have a company in the same Buffalo/Niagara area using the same exact tactics. ARC Arbitrations appears to specialize in 'collecting' on payday loans.

Do not give any information to this company.

P.s. there is a Alfonzo Maye from Lockport, NY who has an interesting history. That is the same town listed in Bizapedia for ARC Arbitrations owner Alfonzo Maye.

This looks like a pure scam to collect on non-existent debts.

Maybe Aaron Johnson will show up to spread some light on this.

I am the owner of ARC Arbitrations LLC. Let's be clear here about my company in regards to the allegations of FDCPA violations. I DO NOT collect on credit cards or anything other than a payday loan. If you goggle ARC Arbitrations and SC Arbitrations you will find out that they are a scam who stole my website to. We don't run an automated dialer system leaving threatening voice mails cause people want to hear a live person so all my collectors smile and dial. I do apologize to the people out there who actually being called by someone claiming to work for my company and trying to scam you. All of these numbers people are calling from do not belong to my company. We might not be the best agency around here but my colleagues and I try our best to make sure you as a consumer is treated with the utmost of respect. When I first started collections yeah, I was a beast on the phones cause that's how I was trained. Now I try to settle everyone out so they can realize that I made mistakes in the past but who hasn't in this field of work. We don't raise the balance on your account if you owe 510.00 we will most likely offer you a SIF of 300.00 so you don't have to pay all the bogus interest charged like other people. All of my paper has chain of title and a letter is sent out on every account before we make any point of contact. Now I said my peace and if you want to speak to bad on my name know your name before you speak. Like I said before everyone has a past good or bad it's what you do to improve yourself.

You're a shining example of the intellectually challenged people who are still so slow that they try to collect on PDLs in WNY. I personally don't believe that you have valid title to a single debt. Not that it matters. I don't believe you've ever mailed out a VOD letter in your life either.
As you said, you "were a beast". Guess what? Leopards can't change their spots. Particularly leopards who are so desperate as to be fraudulent PDL collectors in Erie Co. NY.
I'm going to sit back & laugh at this thread. My colleagues here are going to tear you & your fraud shop in to tiny pieces.

"we have legal papers in our office with your social security # on them and need you to call"
Leaving a message on a voicemail with that information and no idea if it is the one you are needing to speak to is breaking the law. Attempting to collect on dead/non-existent debt is extortion. That's two laws broken already.

If you were a legitimate collections company you wouldn't be breaking the law nor would you be leaving an abbreviated message without leaving your company name, your name and what the call REALLY pertains to.

Your tactics wreak of scam and your words read of scam. As the saying goes, if it smells like a scam and looks like a scam then it's a 100% scam.

My daughter's cell phone keeps receiving these calls.  I have called them twice to tell them to remove her number from their system.  They have claimed that her number is associated with a Sara Vasquez, and I tell them that my daughter is not this person they claim to be looking for.  They apologize and say they will remove her number from their system.  A third call will get someone higher up involved.  My daughter does not give out her phone number to anyone she does not know.  The caller does not identify themselves.  They do, however, answer when I call back, but place me on hold for a bit.  Guessing it's a debt collector or other scam.

To the [***] posting all the [***] about me and on how not to pay a bill, why are you posting under fake names? If you are so real then post your name so we can post your bill on here...smh   You all can say what you want about me but I make a honest days work and most of you people on here are debtors who just don't want to pay your own bills so you look for someone to blame instead of standing up and handling your business. Who ever posted my past life don't know anything about me and at least I am making an attempt to change my life for the better. Deadbeat debtors don't mean anything to me because I won't be the dummy calling you over a credit card. I have nothing to hide and not ashame of what I did in the past but you clowns on here acting like y'all attorneys giving people advise on how to beat the system and that itself shows your ignorance. Like I said before my office ONLY collect on payday loans and New York don't have payday loans but you can collect on them from other states and anyone who has an account in my office receives a letter in the mail before I let my employees call anyone in that file. If you are receiving calls from any number other than 716-261-2990 it's not from ARC Arbitrations LLC

Ah, so apparently today is "opposite day", since when you say you make an honest living, you clearly mean that you break the law and violate the FDCPA multiple times per day.
You just can't stand your victims, er, customers being educated about their rights,  so you make asinine assumptions about those that post here, assuming we all have debt.  Well we don't.  If you think otherwise, then prove it, fool, just like you prove that all those you call owe money. Oh, wait, you don't  do that either.

I far from break the law. Anyone I speak to always get the mini Miranda and spoken to with respect if they call me with respect but if you call my office being ignorant we hang up. Honestly I don't have to prove nothing to you but I'm not going to let SCUM like you assassinate my character and don't know me or spoke to anyone in my office. All these bogus numbers people say call them are not listed to ARC so yeah I'm going to correct you. There is other companies out there using my company name to commit fraud cause we don't collect on credit cards and they will be caught cause I filed a report with the Attorney General Office. Like I said before my number is 716-261-2990 and if you feel the need contact my office and receive professional information.
