Hey !! there is a right way of doing things and BULLYING or THREATENING in the USA are not allowed....  IF some one owes you money, recover it using and following the processes within the system BUT to harrass and cower people is illegal in the uSA and people that do such things (brake the law) should ay for it!!!!

On February 26th I had a voice mail (the call was from 716-831-5601) from a women who said that she was from Empire and that I was a co-respondent (or something like that) of Greg Daily.  I was told to call Mrs. Jones at 800-375-3009 within 24 hours or they would file a lawsuit. I don't know any Greg Daily so I assumed the call was phony.  Also, not calling someone back doesn't seem like a valid reason for filing a lawsuit. When I googled the phone number I found this website.

Just received a call, like the above and appreciate everyone's advice on helping others from these bullies. As I already confirmed, collection agencies hire street people, losers, with no education and criminal history to hide behind a phone and make threats & lies for minimum wages. They also get extra money to locate thier victim's and harass them by scaring their families/friends, what a life! I really feel sorry for the elderly and young adults hurt by their actions. I hope these cruel employees don't sleep well at night due to bad karma, and if they do, they are the real losers. Remember to never give any information over the phone to them or anyone selling anything, they are criminals on the other end of the phone, They work from low wages, and they are your worst nightmare for ID THEFT. Some of you already know, most of these bills are not actually owed due to human error, computer mistakes, overcharges, fraud, ID theft, lies, scams. So you collectors out there you need a reminder to treat others like you would want to be treated or the person you care about the most. Not everyone out there is a loser and when you start calling family members and harassing them, watch out, we have $ to go after you!

I also wanted to add, ESR Agency called my phone and left the # 716-831-5602 but on my caller ID it has the 831-5601.  Don't tell me that your going to arrest a family member in 72 HOURS.  Better be careful, as this family member works for the court systems, better watch it out there!

I have been receiving these calls and they are fraudulent because they have called in the past and gave the wrong name. The calls stopped for a couple of months and I just received two calls this week. These people are fraudelent and I will be reporting the incident to the FBI for investigation. I urge everyone to do the same as this seems to be a growing fraud that could hurt those that give out their personal information!

this number 716 831 5601 is a collection agency who specialize in recovery of very old depts,back to 20 years.if you send them any money this will re-open the claim and make it new and make you responceable fo the new dept. this company is owned by a russian corp who discovered a flaw in our collection laws, do not pay them! THEY CANNOT COLLECT MONEY LEGALY UNLESS YOU SEND THEM A PAYMENT--THEN YOUR SCREWED, THEY MAY HAVE TIES TO RUSSIAN MAFIA. the statute of limitations on a dept is FOUR years, unless you start it again by sending them a payment.

Just got a call from Empire today from number 716-831-5601 saying I owed them money and that I had 48 hours to respond before they filed suit against me.  This company, and many more just like it, have been trying to scare money out of me for the last 15 years.  My ex-wife acquired a Chase credit card by forging my name and using my income as a way to get the card.  She charged a couple thousand dollars on the card then filed bankruptcy shortly after.  Chase cleared her from any repayment of this debt there after.  Some how one of these sleazy Credit Recovery companies got their hands on this information, and started coming after me, because I didn't file a police report against her.  Once they realized I wouldn't pay them anything, they would sell this fraudulent claim to the next Collection Recovery company that thought they could make a buck on threatening me to pay.  It just keeps going on and on.  It never stops, and they just keep selling it to the next company.  Like I said, it's been over 15 years of this crap.  Haven't they ever heard of the Statute of Limitations.  They will say and do anything to squeeze a dime out of you.        Make sure you don't pay these scam artists anything.

The people keep asking for my wifes brother and stating that they are an investigator and they need to get in touch with him right away....also referring to a civil complaint....

These loser called my house and left a message for me to call them on a case number. I returned the call and ask for the that person but got some one else that claimed she was attorney. (LAIR) Said I had a debt for serveral thousands of dollar. And that she was going to take it court unless I paid. I told them to fax me the info and that she had the wrong person. She then became very rude and indignent. I will be reporting them to ever agency out there and tracking them like a dog. I hope to see them out biz and see them in court. With this many reports can someone tell were our legal system is and why something has not been done to them yet?

My Mom got a call from this number. The person said they were a private detective and related to my wife. Like it was a call about an uncollected inheritance. They are stinking dirty red ruskie lairs!!

On May 01 2008 I also received a call from Empire State Recovery 716-831-5601 claiming I owed Citi Bank on a defaulted loan. I was told that two plain cloths police officers would be coming to arrest me the following morning. The caller was a female named Angela. As far as being a dead beat, I admit I do owe the loan, if anyone has a cure the MS I was stricken with 5 years ago I gladly would swap it, go back to work and pay the bill.

xoxoxo or w/e ur an idiot. my sis got a call from these guys saying my gramps got a civil suit. the man is 76 years old and debt free, and he needs nerosurgery, so when u piss on my gramps fragile honor, you really piss me off, these people are a russian based company owned by a suspected Russian Maffia member, so back off, they threatened my gramps and thats illegal in the U.S.

My grandmother received this call today saying she needs to give these people my address and phone # or they would be filing a civil suit against me. She is totally freaking out the guy said if she gave them my number they would tell her what the lawsuit was about. Thats how she figured out it was a scam, she then hung up on the guy.  They have been calling her non-stop since then.

Jerks scared my sick wife to death with their BS treats. Says she owes on a Providian Visa - never had one. Called the bank they have no recored of her EVER having ANY account with them. Crazy [***] hung up on me after I told her I was recording her and wanted her to state for the record the full company name and address.
