Today i received a call stating that I was 3 months behind on my light bill and that my light was going to be turned off in 2 hours unless I went to 7-11 to make a payment of over $200, he said he was from comed...hesitating. when i spoke to the idiot in english, the loser said he didn't speak english, that to speak to him in spanish only and kept insisting on that. Since ALL the Red Flags were present and this exact scam was on the news warning people of it, I already knew this was a scam. The number came to be an 800 comed number on my caller ID but the Idiot left the number stated to call back (718-304-0274), called back several times to cus this butt crack  out, the last time he answered in chopped-up English and cussed him out one last time, though he "didn't" speak english. I hope this helps out anyone getting this call from these losers and always check your bills to recheck your balance/s already paid to be ready to defend yourself and NOT become a victim.   p.s. when they give you an out of state number to reach a certain individual to respond to this type of utility scam about a payment due, it's most likely it's not your utility company, hang up and call the company directly when in doubt, be safe!

Hoy llamo Manuel de Jesús el mismo bs hijo de [***] y el año pasado una tal Eva Luna para lo mismo no ha pagado por dos meses la luz y va a pasar una camioneta a desconectarla por un mes. Hable a la compañía de luz y me dijeron que era mentira. Hice un reporte en la policía, estuvieron hablando a ese número por muchas veces hasta que ya no se pudieron comunicar y nos dijo que era difícil hacer algo contra ellos. Simplemente no debemos dar información y antes de salir a comprar la famosa tarjeta debemos hablar a la compañía de luz por el número de teléfono que tenemos en nuestro recibo y nunca dar los números celulares. Quizá después digan que es el agua, u otro servicio así que solo lo que nos queda es no creer en nadie. Buena suerte.

This number is a scam my friends was called and she was asked TO pay three months of electronic bill if she didn't service was TO be cut out 465.00 it was just a scam

It is a scam, do not get intimated by these SOBs they got my wife stating that they were FPL (Florida Power & light) and did not receive our last payment and they will cut the power unless we paid them, the crook identified himself as Freddy Gonzalez, I contacted the police and they confirmed it was a SCAM.

This is a fraud

A person from this number has been calling my home and harassing us that our electric bill is going to be cut off due to non-payment.  he is requesting information about how did we pay.  I called this phone number and nothing.

Did you guys get your money back I'm in the same situation

My elderly mom in California received a call from these lowlifes today (718-304-0274) They were claiming to represent Edison and demanding a sum of 350$ past due payments. Fortunately she did not fall for it and immediately called Socal Edison right after and they told her to report the number to the police dept. Unfortunately the police is powerless to help in these situations as most of the time they are using spoof numbers and might be residing overseas. The only thing i recommend is to ignore this number and any other phone numbers you guys do not recognize and NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL information over the phone.

If you sent them money using pre-paid cards ...then i'm sorry there is no way you will get your money back. If you used a bank or credit card, i recommend to call the bank and explain the situation.

my mom  received the same call today from ph# 718.304.0274... stating that the electricity bill was 3 months passed due .. so I called & asked why was he calling & from where .. refused to mentioned where he was calling from but immediately stated that our bill was 3 months passed due & that it was going to be shut off if not paid in full... advised him that I was going to call DWP and verify .. he stated call them but it'll be shut off & hung up
