I've recently been getting calls from these people. I don't even know where they got my number from! I haven't really picked up the phone but they always leave a 2 second voicemail of just background noise. Whatever it is - I'm really considering calling them up myself and just explaining that I'm broke, young, and that they're aiming for the wrong girl when trying to sell stuff. I picked up once and told them they had the wrong number and the guy on the other side hung up. Idk if this sounds stupid - but I'm really just gonna ask politely for them to take me off of their number list or caller list (or whatever it's called). Maybe that will work. You don't see much kindness to annoying soliciting telemarketers these days.

I answered the phone and a representative asked if he could speak to the person in charge of handling the Con Edison bills for the household.  I replied, "No."  He did not have anything else to say and I hung up.
The same type of scammers that called yesterday asking about Con Edison bills.

just received this call and i was in the middle of watching game of thrones just to get scammed by these people -.- super pissed off

they were talking about con edison and gas bill reduction offer was too good to be true

keep caling my cell phone never leave a message. a legit company would leave some info or a reason for calling.

I don't know why they trying with me, because they can't fool the fooler!!!!!!!!!!!. The first thing I ask him was tell me my social. The whole thing. Because if you collecting a debt from me you should no it.

The person on the end will assume you are a target & try to take advantage of what they assume is a vulnerability.

Received two calls the past two days from this number. I answered yesterday because I am expecting to be contacted by "EMPower Solar" and thought it was related. I suspect these scammers are now DBA "MPOWER ENERGY" deliberately cause this confusion.

I answered the phone today to chew them out. I filed complaints with both the National Do Not Call Registry and Better Business Bureau.

Searching the phone number turns up associations both in the Bronx and Brooklyn.

They called another on the same floor and then my number rang I check with local phone
company for CID info and rev directory reports Mpower which ask for Con Ed payer of the family.
I given them information to seek the individual before I believe they think this is a house but it a muklti-level dwelling who has it's own POWER GENERATOR and Sell it to the State at current capacity.

They hang up!

Sorry no sell here, but why keep it nothing has changed the apartment can't order utilities it provided!

They call me once a day, telling me my name is Vincent and I have a ConEd account eligible for some outstanding offer/upgrade. I've never had a ConEd account. My name is not Vincent. I've told them several times to stop calling me, which of course goes unheeded.

Send these S.O.B's as many voicemails possible at night and during the daytime call them back constantly and waste their time.. I stayed on the phone with them for atleast 10 minutes and for 12 times one day and all of a sudden they were telling me to stop calling! I can't believe it... Give em a taste of their own crap. They stopped calling me finally but I'm just getting started with them I'm so pissed

Oh and also say your name is Amanda Smith they know the name because of how many times I called back

MPower Energy. There was no one one the line when I answered. I called the number back, the message said to leave a message. I told them I was filing a complaint...which I am. I advise them to look at the their caller ID when they listen to my message..and remove my number from their calling list, and,if I get another call I will file a complaint with the BBB, and the NYS Attn. General. Sometimes you have to go a little over board with your threats.

And sometimes it pay's to go way over.. Try filing a complaint with your states PUC as well and don't forget the FTC and FCC..  All have more bite then the BBB..

Called today saying they're on behalf of the PBA...I told them I contribute directly to them.

Another scammer call from these Energy saving creeps.  They keep changing their numbers, I keep blocking them.  Interesting that the 718 area code (which is also mine) Shows out of area.  Let me guess India?
