Caller ID stated: CONVERGENT RES, 11:12 am 02/02/18, 718-569-5738:  I picked up the phone, put on the speaker, then mute. A real man asked for my daughter. I didn't say anything and he hung up after 25 seconds. He also called at 4:49 pm on 01/23/18. Number is now blocked.

They will simply call back with a different number.  This calls for a "not me" letter, which is detailed in the following (I would also suggest that you have your daughter read this as well):

Pretended to be medical collectors.

How did they "pretend"?  Also did you read any of the other posts?

Received phone call. They only had my first name. Asked me to tell them my date of birth. NEVER WOULD I GIVE ANY INFO OUT TO A PHONE CALLER. THEY CALLED ME. I did NOT call them. I asked “who are you “- female caller said Convergent Medical Collections. OR SOMETHING CLOSE TO THAT.  I said I’m not giving you any info unless you tell me what this is about. She said something —I don’t know what, and in nasty tone she said “you have a nice day”.  No legitimate business behaves like this.  As far as I know—I do not have any money owed to any medical places.  I’d label this CALLER A LOW-LIFE & POSSIBLE SCAMMER.  Do Not EVER give out info—your personal info —to a caller.

called asked for date of birth and address.  I asked what is this about she said debt collection.  I said I dont owe anyone anything and hung up.

a man asked for me when he called and i replied "speaking" he then went on to identify himself as calling  from restoration collections.. then he asked if this was a bad time and i said i'm not well . he said i'll postpone this call for a week.. so i said it's ok . i asked him who he was "collecting a debt for" and he said he had to make sure i was the right person and would i please give him my phone number and birthday.. i said you already have my phone number and i'm not comfortable repeating it or giving you my birthday.. all of a sudden he tapped his finger on the phone and said "hello? hello? "i laughed and he hung up.... i may be a senior but i'm not an idiot.. people beware.. young and old......

Similar experience, said they were calling from a debt collector. Asked for my birthday and home address when I asked what the call was regarding they said they needed that information first which is ridiculous. I told the female representative absolutely not, she got an attitude and hung up. Called back to be placed on a “do not call” list and they said that a letter would be mailed to me about why they were calling and to “keep an eye out.”

Total harassing moron, calling every day using different spoofed numbers ! Will be reported to FTC for electronic communications harassment!

Nathan sandars call saying that i am in collection and wanted my info. I said nope. I dont owe anyone i pay my bills. Using federal law dont allow to disclose who put me in collection added HIPAA this is bs.

HIPAA has nothing to do with debt collection.  Had you read the other posts you would have known that.
