Call at 10:21 am. I picked it up because I was expecting a call from that area code this morning. Very chipper young lady calling from a "vehicle warranty center." I had to ask her to repeat that information, and after a long silence, shs did. Then "how are you today?" I asked how come she was calling me, since I'm on the DNC list -- long silence and then a hang up. I guess she wasn't so chipper after all.

Forgot to mention: the number was appeared on my caller ID but the call initiator showed as "Unavailable." And "shs" in my original post should of course be "she."

Jill from vehicle warranty center with the same "your manufacture's warranty has expired or will soon be expiring" scam that has been calling for the last 5-7 years.

Received a call from 718-737-7161 @ 2:24 P.M. CT on November 18, 2013. Someone else in my household picked up the phone, and the caller just hung up after she said "Hello?" twice. Yes, she should have known better than to feed these trolls, but even so, how did these people even get a hold of our number in the first place?

Whatever. They're getting blocked regardless.

In this day and age with all these telemarketers calling you and your phone ID says UNKNOWN NAME,UNAVAILABLE,WISCONSIN ETC.Why in the world are you EVEN picking up the phone, let it ring! When friends and family's name and number comes up on my ID caller I pick up... anything else I DON'T BOTHER.Use your ID caller.

I was getting calls from an outfit in Florida on my cell. One day I picked up, and recognized the name they were asking for. Guess what? The number I'd just been given for my new cell phone had belonged to a local woman who died a couple of months ago. So in that sense, the calls were legit. Maybe something like that is what's happening to you.

First  time I've been called by an island.  Probably the last time since 718-737-7161 and the entire 718 area code is going on my black list.  Let them talk to voice mail all they want to...

person wanted information regarding my car warranty i did not give them strait answers and they would not say who they were. they just keep asking questions and when i did not give them right answers the hung up.

Second call today from these [***]. They called from 321-400-1517 a couple of hours ago. Same people... "Vehicle Warranty Center", trying to sell or scam after market warranty that is probably a total waste of money. They don't know who they are calling... and the pitch is the same each time. [***] robocalling telemarketers.

Scum suckers at the best trying to leach off of people through harassment through phone solicitations
that are not asked for or wanted by people that rent a phone line for their own reasons.
I don't answer nor will ever respond to any unsolicited call but am tired of responding to the ring
of the phone for my personal needs for which I rent the telephone line.
Enough said. Scum Pond Suckers are dialing your number now....even though you don't want calls.

Someone from this number calls incessantly about my car warranty, I have not had this vehicle in 3 years. When they call usually at dinner time, I keep telling them to remove my number from their list even though Im on the do not call registry. What they do is hang up as soon as they are challenged and no one seems to be able to do anything about it. My local phone provider advised me to call the police, as if they don't have enough problems to deal with. I would love to find their business and pay them a visit.

They have been calling for 2 years saying my warranty on my car is about to expire. I didnt even have a warranty, when you ask them a question about it they hang up on you

"Jill" from some vehicle warranty center (name not given, BTW) called @ 3:28 P/M/ CT on December 27, 2013. She wanted to know if our vehicle was running properly and was so obviously scripted that it was impossible not to see the ruse she was trying to put on.

Someone needs to put these idiots away for good for harassing people the way they do.

They REPRESENT themselves as a vehicle warranty company. They seem to cold call people without checking whether or not the owner has a vehicle first without knowing who lives there. I'm 99% sure it's a scam.
