I keep getting these calls and I do not know anyon e in New York. They don't leave a message they just continually call back.

Some fellow called telling me that my computer was infected and sending out malicious programs.  He asked me if I had noticed anything wrong with my computer and I said "No" and the line disconnected.  SCAMMER.

Got a call from Pay Phone, Microsoft rep.  hung up, got another call from a New York # with same story.

The number 7187589741 called me up and said that my computer was infected with a couple of files, then I put on.

I only answer calls I recognize and return call the rest. I got a fax machine

Am in Toronto. Called at 8:00 a.m. Was out, but would not have answered anyway. Just the phone number on the call display and no msg. Obviously a robocall. From the postings, must be the Microsoft scam, yet again.

Caller ID said "Payphone."  Guy with Calcutta accent proceeds to tell me he is from Microsoft help desk to get rid of a virus on my computer.  I told him I already know that scam.  He cursed at me (at least it sounded like cursing) and hung up.

Thank goodness for these logs.  I am in England, got a missed call today.  Returned call and got a fax machine.  All sounds very dodgy!

I have got several of these calls from different numbers, all apparently from the USA. I have not answered any of the, though, as it seems they are all connectred to the Microsoft scam.

My phone that recieved the call is registered i Sweden, Europe (+46.....).

This number  called me, I don't recognize it so don't answer it...annoying

I received a call from this number very shortly after posting on Craigslist that I lost a pet. Man with Indian accent said "I am calling from pet finder, I understand you have lost a pet" I said "yes?" Hoping he had some information, then he just said "is there any way we can help you?" I said no thank you and he hung up. Odd.

Got a call,and like the other posts, the caller ID says payphone. It went to voicemail.  This man had a thick Indian accent, saying he was from the IRS and that there was a lawsuit filed against me at my address.  Then left a different number, with a different area code to call back to verify.  (202-241-8241).  Tried calling back the original number and got a fax tone.

I got the same message from this number just a few minutes ago. The message was left by a woman. She had no foreign accent. She left a number to call back 202.864.1309. SCAM!

They asked for my mom saying they have letters that needed to be shipped to her. I gave my name out in accident but once they told me about my birth date I said I cannot give it out and they said ok bye

Same BS as before....Indian "Microsoft" guy, with terrible English saying that my Microsoft computer is sending viruses to them, I replied OK, who are you guys and please tell me what is my IP address that is sending those viruses to you, and than he went all around block about it and couldn't answer the question, so he followed with this statement: "C'mon man we wont hack you ....", I laughed and said to stop calling me with this bogus crap, and that I was recording the entire conversation and that I have tracking call software attached to the land line and that I know exactly where he is ....he replied thank you very much sir and f... you.... , I laughed my head off.

Call from this number with a woman claiming a "final notice from the IRS and ther will be a lawsuit against me", and we are to call 202-864-1223 for more information. Caller ID from the 718 number came up as "pay phone" like others report. Seems they have moved from Microsoft scare tactics to IRS. This is why we screen calls and make sure they are legit, and it's clear these are bogus and running some sort of scam.
