Got a call from them today, they asked if I was interested in selling my company, I said "No." she said Okay, thank you for your time and hung up. Thats all.

Is asking questions of the business owner regarding an important business matter, was the message left.

A woman called asking for my husband and mentioned the name of our business. When I said that he was unable to come to the phone she asked if she could call him tomorrow. I asked what her call was about as I am joint owner of our business. She said she was calling to see if we wanted to sell our business. When I said, "No", she said "Thank you for your time" and hung up.

I received a message from Affiliated Business Consultants (719)540-2200 this week.  I have recently been scammed by a company called Ladco that is threatening to sue me.  Last week I received a message from a private investagator.  I discovered he was associated with Ladco.  I am wondering if Affiliated Business Consultants is also connected with Ladco.  Has anyone else had dealings with Ladco and then been called by Affiliated Business Consultants?

Unfortunately, I have to agree that this 'company' is more than likely does not present in a professional manner as I just proved by putting one of their telemarketers to the test about 3 minutes ago.  

Professional and legitimate businesses will identify themselves the minute you pick up the phone and say 'Hello....'!   Professional and legitimate businesses do not skirt around the question of who they are representing when they are asked. But that is how it has been each time this company phones our office which is becoming a near daily occurance.  

I realize that we ALL are tired of these calls and the frustration that they cause. I am really sorry to see so much frustration by those in defense of this organization. However, I would like those complaining to remember that while you are voicing your opinion about their unprofessional behavior, you are not handling yourself much better by allowing your choice of wording and criticisms to mirror theirs.

LOL!!!  and I obviously am tired of it all as my first line is incorrect.  It should have read:

"Unfortunately, I have to agree that this 'company' is more than likely illegitimate and does not present in a professional manner as I just proved by putting one of their telemarketers to the test about 3 minutes ago."

You really need to learn how to spell before you post information regarding calls such as these.  And you are an idiot for accepting and allowing calls like this to your business unless you have asked for help in the first place.  Unless you are serious about selling your business or the "confidential" information they ask why would you give it to them.  I would ask my staff to simply as them not to call back.

STOP CALLING AND ASKING IF WE ARE SELLING OUR BUSINESS!!!!!!!!

When you hang up on them over and over and have asked to be removed from their calling list, they should STOP calling you. The fact that they don't makes them appear to be a SCAM, please let them know that!

Have dealt with the calls from this company. Typical telemarketing style on "cold calls". Their calls are to make their company money. They waste my time which costs me money. If I want to by or sell a business, as a business owner I will instigate the process. I refuse to allow a prodding,manipulating outsider to play with my business,my time, and my money for them to make money for them.
Cold calls by telemarketers waste way too much time for any and all businesses. We are in business to do our business and be available to those we are paid by during the course of the day.

I have received those calls too, I just found today it is the U.S. Government, probably the I.R.S. trying to obtain your business books and take a look at them, their only way is to hire a "third party" buyer, so you can release your business information to this "fake" buyer.
Careful folks...don't fall into this.

This is my first time checking one of these blogs regarding an unknown number.  First of all, I must be a hypocrite because I am wasting my time typing this.  Wouldn't you think that the economy would be better if we all got back to work and quit treating each other disrespectfully?  I appreciate the fact that I found out that I should not call the number back but WOW!

Hmmm, better think again about who sounds ignorant. Legitimate companies don't have to pay shills like you to defend them on sites like this. And sites like this make it harder to perpetuate fraud. That wasn't the case 31 years ago, or even 5 years ago.

The fact that you are even here tells us something must be getting better in the world. Maybe you should check if your local McDonalds is hiring, or can't you get honest work?

I spoke to Theresa from this company today.  She was one of the sweetest people I have ever spoke with over the phone.  Even when I told her I wasn't selling my business she told me thanks and to have a great day.  Super nice!  And they are an honest company. They have been doing this for over 30 years.  She also left me a website of bizsale.com.  If you don't think it's real check the website for yourself.
