calls almost every other day. tried to call back from cell phone and it is an unused phone number according to the message.

I've just had a call from a man at this number who said he was "calling on behalf of Visa and Mastercard," and when I said I wasn't interested and asked him to remove my name from his call list he said he couldn't do that.

I hung up.  I'll contact my credit card company myself if ever I need to.

I work at Credit Union in Northern Iowa, and we have gotten an ungodly number of calls this afternoon from random numbers, and this happens to be one of the numbers mentioned by our members.  It is an automated message claiming to be from our Credit Union regarding their Mastercard that has been suspended.  Some phone calls ask for account information, others refer the caller to our "security department" and then disconnect.

Knocked off my cable digital phone, acts like still connected.  When it initially rang there was nobody on other end speaking.

I too got a call this afternoon (I'm in SK), a lady who hardly spoke English wanted to lower the rates on my mastercard and "wisa" card...I wish I had listened longer.  I interrupted her, thanked her for calling but asked her to take me off her list.  She reported that she didn't have the authority to do this, I insisted that it is the law, she must do it.  She insisted she couldn't.  I asked for a supervisor, she said he's not here for another 10 minutes, so I asked what company she was calling from, and she hung up.

I called the number back, not in service.

I'm in SK too and got the same call last night, but it was a Spanish man calling from "Visa Mastercard," and he was calling about lowering my interest rate.  He asked me what my current rate was, and I said, "if you are calling from Visa Mastercard, wouldn't you already know that?"  He said, "I need to know this so I can give you the best possible rate."  I said, "really?" and then he hung up.

The same jerk phoned tonight with the same story.  This time I told him, "I don't phone you and ask you about your credit cards."  He then asked me "where do you work?"  I said "F--- You!!! Where do you work?"  He said "The Financial Institute of Visa Mastercard."  So I hung up.  He phoned back immediately, and says, "yeah, what did you say to me?"  So I hung up again.  He phones back, and this time I don't answer, but he leaves a message, "you will be recieving a package in 7 days which will tell you about the lawsuit we are filing against you."

Caller with strong accent claimed to be calling from VISA.  I immediately hung up.  STOP THESE PEOPLE!

I have been receiving constant calls from this number >720-204-1286.  I usually hang-up as no one is speaking on the other line.  Today, I stayed on the line and finally, someone came on.  "Victor" advised me that I was paying too much interest on my mastercard or visa card and was being offered a lower interest rate.  I asked if he were affiliated with my bank, as they would be the ones who would contact me with regards to any issue with my credit card, and he just said goodbye and hung-up on me.

Just received a call from someone at this number with a heavy accent and a bad connection. I could tell it was a telemarketer immediately because they didn't respond when I initially said hello. There was the usual slight delay, and then they began to yell "HELLO? HELLO!!" into the phone while the connection cut in and out. Hung up on the fool.

I live in SK - got a call from 720-204-1286 today.  Said they were from Mastercard and wanted to lower my interest rate.  Asked for my DOB and then the expiry date on the card starting with 545 - seemed fishy, so I started messing with her.  She said she'd call me back.  I called my MC company - they were doing no outbound calls.  She did actually call back, and gave me her name - Maria Smith and employee ID #0026 and call back number - 1-888-866-0271.  Checked the website - http://www.qcsprograms.com/ - seems to be a marketing scam - they "lower your interest rate" by selling you a book and CD that teaches you how to better manage your money.  I was worried about fraud - but doesn't seem to be that...

calls every night..alway as im trying to get my son to sleep. when answered its 'regarding your current credit card',and each time ive asked to be removed from their calling list. at which time every one of them has gotten loud and rude, one actually told me i was stupid to not sign up with them. wonder if the company that hired them realizes that this is exactly why id never get one of their cards. so much for them honoring the request to not call.

3 calls today  visa mastercard   one wanted my card number  so he could issue a new card   scary they have your name   very persistent         at least would be nice if they could  get english speaking jerks to make these calls

This call comes in almost daily (always during baby's nap time!), what can be done about it?  I can't take it anymore!

Got a call from this number and they ask for a name I did not recognize.  When I said "What Irene...?" they immediately hung up.

I just got a call from this number...about an hour ago.  I wasn't near my phone, so there was a voicemail.  About 2 minutes of the song, "In Your Eyes".  I thought I'd wandered into a scene from Say Anything!

answered the phone assuming it's another telemarketer, recorded message says my debit card has been shut off due to security reasons, was told to press 1 to be connected to a bank official. Did not press 1 assume this is some type of "steal your identity" type scheme, I hate people trying to get something for nothing... next time I press 1 and tell them to drop dead!

called at 11:06 pm left message about someone got into my account. don't have one

I recieved a call at 1:30am, this is crazy, sounds illegal.

Everyday around the same time I get a call from this number.  They never leave a message so I am not sure who or what they want.

You were scammed.  The first four digits of a credit card aren't private, they're the same for all customers of a particular bank.

As an example, if you have a Wachovia VISA, it starts with 4715.  A Bank of America VISA starts with 4264.  4301, Chase VISA, etc....

This was 100% definitely a scam.  You're about to be defrauded.
