Powers, Preston & Stone (CMR Group) collected for me as well and are not paying.  Were you able to collect from them?  Did you take action?

These jerks have called my cell phone 4 times.  I have spoken to them twice.  They claimed they were collecting for Texas Oncology.  My husband just died of cancer after knowing only 3 weeks he had it.  I didn't owe anyone anything.  They refused to put anything in writing, send a bill and wanted too much personal info over the phone as well as money.  Even offered to reduce the bill if I would just send money.  Watch out, very suspicious.

Called using a variety of entities and names.  Claimed at numerous times to be a law office, to be another company looking for advice, got my name from a friend, etc.  But would refuse to say what the call was about until someone would admit to be the person they were asking for.

The name they were asking for is not the legal nor commonly used name of any of our employees (but was close to one).  

The company ignores requests to stop calling and refuses to state the true purpose of the call.

FILED A COMPLAINT WITH BBB. WE GOT A HALF ASSED APOLOGY FROM LARSON, WITHOUT ACCEPTING ANY RESPONSIBILITY. THEY BLAMED IT ON OTHER LOW LIFE BOTTOM FEEDERS THAT CANT HOLD A REAL JOB. THEN WE GOT ANOTHER CALL TODAY WTF. DONT ANSWER THEY ARE TOTAL SCAMMERS.

A woman from this number called my house asking for my husband.  In the voicemail she identified herself as Adrianna from Snap-On Tools.  She said she was calling about an October 17th state tax filing.  She gave her return phone number as 888-589-0955, ext. 385.  When I did a search on that number, Larson Financial came up as a business who helps people who are behind on their taxes.  The main number listed on their website is 888-902-0778.

The scary thing is, my husband and I are making payments on taxes from a couple of years ago.  How do these people have access to this information?????  My advice is to not talk to anyone about your  taxes, past or present, unless you can verify they are with the IRS or the proper state government.

I just received a call from a Michael Stone from Preston, Powers and Stone. He said we owed a medical bill for $500.00 and he was calling so we could take care of it over the phone, otherwise we would have to go to small claims court and wind up paying $800.00 or more.  I told him not to use scare tactics on me. Who are these scumbags?

Called in the past several days 2-3 times a day and asking to speak with business owner. Finally answer the phone yesterday after calling 2 times. Did not asked in what regards. Just told her the owner is not available. Guess what,  they called back hour later again, but did not answer the phone.This is not a business, I do not know why she asked to speak with business owner!

It's a collection agency, and a bad one at that.  They are behind on their own bills!  I would not trust them.  If you owe money, go directly to the debtor who is trying to collect.  Do not pay anything to this company!!

This company has also not paid on accounts collected for my husbands business.  I just got off the phone with our local police dept who said that since you have a signed contract with the company it is not a criminal but rather a civil matter.  So you would have to take them to court to get your money.  If you do not want to do that or are not in a position to do that you can  work on getting this company shut down by filing complaints with the BBB as well as the Attorney Generals office in TX.  If enough people complain they would have to investigate the company and maybe get them shut down.

This number is owned by Larson Financial.  I decided to research all of these companies.  Names, addresses, google research, BBB research, and in some cases supreme court research.  Thousands of people hire these companies every month.  I tried to be as impartial as I could, “just the facts.”  Some of these companies have multiple locations, and some of them have multiple names in the same location.  14 Linked reviews for all the companies are at the bottom of the article.

Glad I didn't take from LARSON  - looked up the caller ID - and here I am on this site.  No one I know owes anything to anyone.....  watch out!

got call yesterday from a lady name Ashely work with Larson saying it's very important and request to speak CFO regarding tax issue. Just feel not right.

Called me several times over about two week.  I eventually answered and they asked questions about a tax issue that had nothing to do with me.  
They promised to take me off their calling list, we'll see.

Just received a call from this that would not identify himself nor his company.  I asked several times, "what can I help you with?"  Basically letting him know that I was busy and he continued to hem and haw, so I hung-up on him.  He called right back and I again asked "what can I help you with?"  and I'm busy.  He said, if you would stop talking I'll tell you.  I said "FU" and hung-up.  He had called at least 7 times between 7:57 am MST and 1:30 pm MST.  This is harassment, so whoever you are please do not call me ever again.

I missed 4 calls from Larson today 8:58a, 1:28p, 2:45p, 2:51p.  I talked to these people once before about 2-3 weeks ago told them it's not mine so remove me from their list.   Now they are persistently calling?

Got a call today from 720-836-4155 asking to speak to me about "a state tax matter". When I inquired as to who was calling the reply was "Larson". They then asked who I was and what company that they had called. Of course, I do not give out any information until I am sure that I know who it is that is calling. That is all of the information that they were willing to provide, so they quickly, said that they must have the wrong number and hung up.

I recieved a call today from Leslie Spyers from 720-836-4155 claiming it was in regards to my company's State of CA EDD filings for withholding tax.

Glad I cam here first.

So I get a call from these [***] saying they will help me with my tax debt. Well I checked with the IRS and my State and they said they have no record of me or my spouse having any tax debt! So these SOB's are fishing for customers that come close to the names they have on their bottom feeding list. Beware and stay clear from companies like Larson. If you have Tax Debt deal directly with the IRS or your State Government not some phone jockey!
