I just started getting these annoying texts. Any idea how to get it to stop?

Just got off the phone with Tmobile.  Here's the info I got.  If you care to, you can reply to the text with the word "stop".  It won't actually do anything.  In fact, the phishers won't even get it, but it will add harrassment charges if they continue to send texts.  Next, call both the Denver fraud unit at 720-913-6752 and leave a message today.  If they come in on Monday and there are a couple hundred messages reporting the same thing, they're much more likely to take action.  Last, call your local fraud unit.  Since this is crossing state lines, they can involve the FBI.
In reality, there's a small chance that somebody will get caught.  If we don't do anything however, there is zero chance that somebody will get caught.  Unless the public gets involved and STOPS GIVING THEM THE INFORMATION THEY WANT, the scammers will continue.

we have received 8 messages so far on 2 different phones here in the DFW area.  When we called the number it is a recorded message that says that your Bank of America card has been locked.  Don't even have one.

Do you happen to have Tmobile? The reason Im asking is because Tmobile resently started a game through texting in which you can win $4,000 a day and an Audi Q5. If you do happen to have Tmobile and you have been playing this game then it Tmobile is the source of the problem. Different companies get paid to give out our numbers to these bill collectors, prank callers, or whatever. Its BS.

Stop does not work.  Each message is coming through with a different code.

I'm in Arlington, TX, and I've gotten the same thing. When I call the number, an automated message states that it's Bank of American's Security Department and that my credit card has been blocked due to suspicious activity, and it says I need to type in my credit card number to unblock it. It's obviously a scheme. I just emailed bank of america's fraud department to report it. Are you all Bank of America customers? I'm wondering if they're going off of some sort of list if we are.

Tmobile tech support told me there is nothing they can do to stop it since it's coming from the Internet and not a cell phone.

Reported to T-Mobile and Denver fraud (number someone listed above).

If you can go onto your T-Mobile account online, there is a way to create a filter to block that email address. The customer service rep just walked me through it. Not sure if it has helped yet, cause I just did it BUT it's worth a try.
