- Clabo IncThis Telcom Group calls 4-5 times a week lately. They are insistent on making a change to our phone lines and even went as far as trying to set up an appointment for a technician to show up.

- Office-FlunkyCaller ID: TELCOM GROUP.
This number called the office earlier this week. The lady on the other end wanted to talk about a technician appointment. I told her nobody here scheduled a repair tech. She told me it wasn't for repair s but becausr AT&T customers were being required to use digital service. I truthfully told her our office is vacating later this year so we have no reason to upgrade. She hing up at that point.- Caller: Unidentified Phone Provider

- OfficeFlunkyAs a follow up, this number has called a few more times. The first two calls were abandoned ones. Today, however, a female operator was on the other end and wanted to talk to the person handling the AT&T bill. She claimed that there was going to be a monthly rate change starting next month and that we'd have lower rates. I casually asked why AT&T has no idea who her company is (based on other posts in this thread). She insisted that "Telflex" was in fact AT&T and she was going to forward me to her supervisor. I told her not to both and to stop calling.
A cursory search for "Telflex" led to pages for an apparent mobile service provider based out of Quebec, Canada. I don't think they'd be providing service to the US. I also tried to search on "Teleflex" but most of the hits were for a medical supply company.
Whomever this is, I still doubt they're AT&T.- Caller: Telflex

- Business ownerThese scammers have been calling my work number repeatedly for a couple months, even after I asked to be removed from their call list. I've started documenting how often they call & plan to file complaint with FTC

- MISTE"Telcom Group" has called up periodically over the last few weeks. Finally, a staff member decided to take the call and see who they are and what they'd like. They represented themselves as a representative from ATT and that our terms were expiring and they wanted to save us money. They then told him we have 5 lines on the account (which is incorrect) and didn't even have the basic information correct. When my co-worker said he'd rather go through ATT directly, they started getting aggressive and saying they could save him more money. So he asked if he could "put them on hold while he went to get a bill to look at", he called the ATT fraud department while he had them on hold. They hung up after a few minutes on hold. ATT said they are not affiliated with them and it is a scam. I've blocked two numbers from them, but they just keep changing the last 4 digits to call us. Annoying!

- Frazzled replies to Sally JamesThe 725 251-5591 telecom group has resumed calling after a lapse. I picked up from the handset without caller ID screen. Quick to dispatch them, but what a nuisance. Always insisting they are from ATT.
- OfficeFlunkyJust like guest user Frazzled above, This company has started calling here again -- exactly three months to the day that I received their last call and having the operator I spoke to that day promise that the calls would stop. If I was into conspiracy theories, I'd suspect their DNC list (if they have one) is only good for three months.
Despite today's call being the tenth time they've called this year, it was already abandoned with a dial tone on the other end when I picked up. In a way, I hope they do call back again so I can record the call and send a complaint to my attorney general's office while she's already in the mood to go after people she sees as scammers.
As a bit of a follow-up, I've learned that the company in question is "Telplex" and not "Telflex/Teleflex" as I originally thought. If the web site I found (telplex dot com) is theirs, they claim to lease telephone lines from major local, long distance, and international carriers. Their currently-listed contact information is:
TelPlex
16830 Ventura Blvd Suite 350
Encino, CA 91436
Contact numbers on their site include both 888-479-2770 and 888-753-1753.- Caller: Telplex

- BigA replies to PatYou run a business with that mouth? It needs to be washed out with some strong soap.
- LuciusThe caller-id says TELCOM GROUP and if you answer you get a person that claims that he's from AT&T and he will be sending men to upgrade your equipment. I asked him what they were going to do as I own all the "equipment" and it's all in my home where AT&T is duty-bound not to enter. He claimed he was just a phone worker. As a network professional, I can tell you that upgrading lines to fiber is NEVER done in the suburbs or the country and NEVER goes directly to the home. Any fiber is run ONLY to a switching station (small building), a device on a pole, or a device installed inside one of those ground-level green service boxes along the road. Upgrading to fiber involves digging up the road, digging ditches, laying orange fiber cable, removing switches, boosters, line filters, and other equipment from underground telephone lines and telephone poles.
I knew they were a scam so I invited them to come over. I had lots of very small security cameras so I got everything recorded. When they got here they went out to the Network Interface Device box attached to the house and disconnected the phone line. Then they went down into my basement and unlocked the windows and doors (presumably so they could get in later) and tried to steal my modem. I called the police and they were arrested with a truck full of valuables. They told the police they were a company working for AT&T that was selling U-verse. AT&T denied they worked for them.- Caller: TELCOM GROUP

- RickCalled at least 15 times today, despite being told we are not interested. Very unprofessional. State they are from AT&T, but caller ID says Telcom. Very persistent, very desperate. Sad. Get a friggin' life. Why can't these be stopped? We're trying to run a business & these fools will not stop.

- TiredofThisOur business receives calls from this number multiple times per day. They always hang up right after I answer or leaves a dial-tone on my answering machine. Calling back is pointless as they never answer and the answering machine is "full". Shortly after trying to call them back we receive a call from a Blocked Number.
