me too....my area code is 512 and the texts say to call area code 727-216-2029

I am in 512 area code and also getting tons of texts from the 727 area code number. I am so annoyed.

It isnt from Bank of America otherwise the domain name in the email/text would be BoA.com.  Its as simple as dont call or reply.

Seems like its the 512 area code.

Ex-Austinite here - Moved away in 2008, however, and haven't given my phone # to any local (Austin) businesses since then.

However, one of the few places that DID have the number was Papa Johns.  Or, HEB Grocery.  Otherwise, mainly fast food places around Austin that deliver, or the actual banks I use down there (none of them BoA).

Never given my Sprint # to any major retailers, though, or any questionable website...wonder who had the data breach?

Got a text from boa04@info91.com saying "Good Afternoon. Call (727)2162029 Attention Required."

Got the same text from them four times yesterday and twice this morning!

I moved from Austin Tx to OK 3 years ago.  Still have my area code 512 cell with Sprint but now live in OK.
I am getting these xxxxx@info?.com everyday too.  Getting ready to call Sprint Fraud.  We have two 512 cell phones and both are getting these messages.  Today it seems they are using xxxx@info1.com Call (727) 216-2029.  Attention Required.  I have just been deleting them, but finally called Sprint today and when reporting it they said to hold while the  xferred me to the Fraud Dept and then it was a lost call and Sprint has not called me back so guess I have to go through calling again!  Getting poor reception with Sprint and after years of having them for a provider decided yesterday to switch carriers and xfer phone# to new carrier.  Phones should arrive in the next day or two and will be interesting to see if the bogus Text Alerts continues with the same 512 # on another service carrier.

I also have been getting messages. The reverse lookup came up with a landline in Clearwater, Florida. I also do not bank with BOA.

Reading through all these messages - it appears that all of us may be 512 Austin area customers of Sprint?  If that is the case reporting to Sprint Fraud might be helpful for them to know that that it appears from internet forums that most (if not all) of these bogus text alerts are going to Sprint 512 Austin area customers?

Called Sprint earlier and they said they blocked all spam from my phone but I just received another text from tele@b-of-a.com asking to call 864-582-5454.  This number is connected to Dish Network in South Carolina.  I don't know what else to do.  It's very annoying.

Also in the 512 Austin area, started getting these a couple of days ago... Has Sprint database been compromised?

I've gotten several texts from boa##@info1.com saying to call (727)-216-2029 among a 561 area code phone number the first time I called the 727 # it said it was Bank of America, of whom I do not bank with.  At first they said the first 5 five digits of a card that I don't have so I kept making up a card number and it kept saying incorrect card number and then I heard some one messing with the phone on the other end yet I never got through to anyone or had it accept any fake card I entered.  But this morning I received another message and called 727-216-2029 which once again said it was Bank of America fraudulent card services and again asked for my card this time not stating any numbers for the card being asked about.  So i made up a 16 digit card number beginning with 4592222 obviously fake then it asked for an exp date which was also fake and a fake pin number and I was then told thank you and that all of the fake info was correct and was promptly hung up on...

I got the same text.  It's a phishing text.  They're trying to get you to provide your account number so that they can fraudulently withdraw funds from your account.  Whenever you receive something like this, do not provide your account number.  Why would the bank need you to give them your account number when they're the entity that issued the number in the first place?  Think about it.  If you're concerned, call the toll free number for your bank that's printed on the back of your check/debit/credit card and let them know what's going on.

I've been receiving these same messages.  I have 512 area code, Boost Mobile, ordered Papa Johns last weekend with my number.  Now if we could just get them to stop!  Or find a way to annoy them the way they do us!  They make me so mad, I'd love to return the favor!

Received two phishy texts- one from "boa39@infos.com" yesterday at 5:22pm and one today from "my401@info3.com" at 11:39.  Both direct to call this number.  I've been blocking the email by texting "block blahblah@blah.com" to 9999 on a Sprint phone, but the emails keep changing.  I've received two other very similar texts in the same time period directing me to call 832-308-6322 and 561-235-7256.  These are all part of the same scammer it looks like.

I noticed some people saying they had area code 512 numbers, and mine is also a 512 phone number.

Got four messages within 12 hours of one another.

Called both numbers for fun since they were obviously linked having the same message. They asked for my debit number because my card may have been involved in some fraudulent activity and I needed to continue to avoid penalties. I entered a fake card number to see if they would start asking for my social and such, but my car number wasn't valid so...didn't work. Obviously a scam, for people who do have Bank of America (which I don't) please do not be so numb as to enter any real information, go straight to Bank of American with this, so that they can take action against the scammers.

As for me, I just send a message saying if I got one more message from them, I would be going to the police to trace the e-mails and phone numbers back to the source. Slim chance, but might as well scare the bums.

Getting a lot of the same annoying texts from "my901@info3.com"  to call 727-216-2029.  Spoke to Sprint Technical support. At first, she said they couldn't block an email to text message. I read her some of the comments left here on this board, (other folks getting the same texts from a similar email address, that it's been an ongoing problem, that it's been reported to Sprint Fraud, Sprint already know about it, etc.). She double checked, an found out that Sprint can block the Email to Texts and she has since blocked them.

NOTE: Email to Texts can be blocked, but not all the tech reps know it and should ask their sups about it.

I got 3 texts just yesterday with the same information. I have sprint also and a 512 number. Stumbled upon this site because I was looking for answers. I would never think of calling them but I did want to see if I could find out who was being such a nuisance.

Found out an even better way to block these spam emails from your phone and also notify Sprint of the spam.

Text the following to 9999 to block the domains these spammy emails are coming from:
spam infos.com
spam info1.com
spam info2.com
spam info3.com
spam info4.com
spam boa-info.com

Along with any other domain names on emails you might get from these guys.  It takes a few seconds to send, but it will block emails from that domain being sent by text to your phone.  These texts should be free for Sprint customers and would be worth it especially for those who have limited texts.

Went and randomly asked co-workers who their cell phone providers were. Anyone that responded sprint with a 512 area code had the same texts come in yesterday during the evening time. I will be contacting sprint on this as well. Sounds like someone either purchased a bunch of numbers or something was compromised.
