- Big Winner!!!I was called on back to back days.
First a woman called, Platinum Rewards...free $120 gas card just for test driving a this rewards program....if you don't want it cancel it, no hard feelings keep the gas card etc. I asked several times where they got my information from and who Platinum Rewards was, always received skirted answers. The part where they talk about the "billing" aspect of it is always the fastest and completely not understandable over the phone. When you ask for clarification they re-itterate the $120 gas card first, then quickly ramble more incoherrent information.
They asked me to verify my mailing address and phone number. This doesn't scare me, as I recently found out you can get this type of information from Whitepages.com. Unbeknownst to me, my address and phone number were listed. They then gave me the last 4 of my previous bank card. I thought that odd, but as someon previously posted, last 4 of bank card information is pretty commonly passed around between companies.
A few days later a man called, referrenced the call made prior, asked me to AGAIN verify my information several times during the call. Then said they had a failure to mail the packet because the zip code was wrong. That's funny to me, because I know you can go to USPS.com and look up zip codes.....but apparently a corporate entity doesn't have access to that kind of technology. They said I needed to key in my Zip Code on my phone to verify it, again. That's when I hung up.
If I receive another call from them, I will definitely mess with them.- Caller: Platinum Rewards
- Jose Gallegosi want this person to stop calling me immediately
- AlmostWell it looks like we're all in the same boat because today August 26th 2010 i got a call at 8:34pm
from that same number and when i ask the guy who gave him my number and how did he got it
he replied he could not tell me so i told him that i cannot talk to him and hung up the phone.
Did a phone check, found out the number is from a cell phone in Florida and then i got here. - manthundersgirlGot a call from this number while I was at the grocery store. My 15 year old daughter answered and identified herself as such . A male representative then proceeded to tell her that I qualified for some reward. She again stated that she was my daughter and reiterated that he was not talking to whom he was looking for. When I returned from the grocery store she told me of this call. I tried to call the number back only to find myself as caller number 1, 2, and 3 for about 30 minutes. Never got anyone on the phone. Well today (2 days after the call) I check the bank and sure enough they stole $50 from me. I have reported them to my bank and I am going to take every step to file a fraud report as well as unauthorized access to my bank acct. We are a single income Army family and while the Bank of America is going to help me retrieve my money, we are sitting here with 6 more days 'till payday with $50 missing from our tightly maintained budget. This company is despicable.

- TJI have received 3 calls from the number mentioned over the last 2 weeks. I haven't answered....and thanks to the information posted here, I do not plan to answer! It shows up on my cell phone as being from St. Petersburg, FL.
- MD| 1 replyI went at it with these people 3 times today. They're super aggressive and screwing a lot of people. By answering their questions they will send out a $100 gift card to Walmart and a packet of info. If you simply do nothing at the end of 72 hrs they will, I am pretty sure, charge your credit card $40+ dollars.
I called my credit card company and they had never heard of this company or this promotion.
The third call today I got the second supervior of the day on the phone and told them that my CC company was hunting them down. That changed the game. Suddenly there was a do not call list. Then I told them I goggled the number and that there was a following of pist off people that were complaining about them. I got more back tracking and next asked for their address. This company (according to the floor manager) is called Platinum Rewards, 6599 Ulmerton Rd, Marlboro, FL. 33771.
We'll see if I get taken off the list or not?
BTW I never do this sort of thing but these people have been so aggressive with their hounding that it pushed me over the edge!
Cheers

- JoeThis number called wanting to know if my 10 year old son is in. I asked what it was about and he hung up. And he again asked if he was in. I said no and he hung up. Creepy thoughts went through my head on that one. definitely not the kinda people that you would want to do business with or even deal with for that matter.
- AnonymI just got a call from this number, and the woman said she was calling in reference to my master card account ending in ****. I said I didn't have a master card account, and she said that She was calling to send me a gift card for having an active account. I started asking questions and she said she didn't have the answers and that she would look into this matter more closely and give me a call back. Then hung up with "have a nice day ma'am."
- Caller: Didn't say.
