- MarkI have had the same problem after filing out a form at E-learning.com. After calling me several times without an answer, they emailed me. Some guy named Robert. Here was my response.
"Robert,
Please remove me from your call list, and any other call list in your organization. If you do not honor this request, I will take action, and CBT Direct/CBT Xpress and/or E-Learning may be subject to a fine of up to $16,000, by law."
I gave no reason, apology, or explanation. I don't need one, and leaving them out makes it clear what the purpose of my message was.
I believe that I got his attention as he wrote back to apologize and assure me that all my information would be removed. We'll soon see how it works in practice.- Caller: CBT Direct/CBT XPress

- Matthew Harmon replies to Timothy WebbPlease email me matthew_harmon@comcast.net, if you are intrested in a class action lawsuit.... I too have been ripped off by this company, and after reading all the ripoffreports and complains with the better buisness buerue, i'm convinced this is something that needs to be done. Please don't hesititate if you're intrested, lets work together.
- SheilaI actually missed a call from this number
- KenyaThey did the samething to me. Of course I made the first call just for question about the courses, I heard Them on the radio, I was interested in the medical coding class. I liked the idea of training at home. But then they called, and called, and called. They said they'd be there for me the whole process with any questions, I have really messed up my good credit, they got paid up front because you have to open a credit card with GE Money Bank, I can't afford it, this was the biggest mistake of my life. I called myself studing, and studing online/corresponsence school for the best one, and then I so foolishly jump into this, ended up eactly where I did'nt want to be. The rep. talks to you like your old friends by using your first name and asking personal questions about your kids, "Don't you want a better life for your son and yourself" , "If you haven't been (studing) online I'm gonna be calling you". I haven't heard from her since I signed my life away on July 18, 2008! That's the only way to get them to stop calling, BUY A COURSE! They WILL NOT give you a refund! hey as I'm writing this GE Money is calling me for a payment on Sunday, Aug 17, 2009 at 11:08am right before church. Anyway, Somebody please help this was a HUGE MISTAKE! All for a lawsuit.

- the5thhorsemanI was told training was included and it's not. these people gave me a practice test and, I am in the I.T. field allready. they told me my answers were wrong but yet when researched, my answers were correct. Example (If a customer calls and explains that their computer just shuts off during normal procedures and restarts what could the problem be?)
I aswered from multiple choice that it should be a power supply. On my results I got that question wrong.
Kevin@thepcmedics.net or kkirk@ptd.net - hjartland| 2 repliesTwo calls to my cell. This was not unexpected. I took 4 of their A+ practice tests. They were OK. I'll request that they stop calling. If they fail to do so. Then I will look into further action.

- hjartland replies to hjartlandSorry you guys had to go through all that. Thank you for sharing your stories. I will be sure to avoid this outfit.
Ben - hjartland replies to hjartlandI just called them. She mentioned FTC removal. Then said I have been put on their do not call list.
If they fail to uphold this I will report back.
Good luck guys! - Who the ... are they !This "person" called he just yesterday an by mistake I answer the phone. I new I should hung up on him, cause all he want was to sale me a line. Of
crape about trying to help me get my A+ certfication. An how his course could guarantee my passing. For the low low price of you must be an idiot, to think any can guarantee what your own studing an work can only do!!!! - TommyGet daily calls from them, actually twice a day.
Is there a way to block them? - DANAI've been getting calls from 727.724.8994 recently. I must have gave them my name years ago and they keep calling me and not even leaving a message. These calls are getting annoying now. I need to get taken off their calling list. I am not interested, I have a job and going back to school.

- Savannah replies to Davinx| 1 replyMy husband didn't enter his information into their website but he went to a computer for a while last year, and suspects this company got a hold of his number through them.
I don't understand how any sales person can expect someone to be interested after they call three times a day and never leave a message. After that I just consider them shady. If you don't want to leave a message about what you're selling then you obviously know someone is going to say, "nope," and delete the message. Even the salesmen must know they're not selling a good product!
I'm sure we'll add ourselves to the national do not call list. We'd rather not talk to dishonest sales people that are just going to try to twist our arm. - IdkI've gettin calls from them for 2 years and they won't stop..
- DZ replies to Jan| 1 replyDo what I do. Every time they call (which is less and less every month) Answer the phone and say " hang on, I'll be right back" Just leave the phone and walk away. They value their own time much more than yours and will figure it out once you have pulled this on them.
- madhustop calling!!
- Dave replies to DZI think we should start calling them everyday
- Mike Heckelbeckcalls me on work phone everyday, never leaves message. this started from a FREE online a+ certification test. I unchecked the have a rep call me when doing the test. However they still called me. and this has gone on for 4-5 months now.

- Kevin C.I believe it's the former CBT Direct people. I did one of their online courses and they have been a thorn in my side ever since 2005. They will call and when you tell them that you're not interested, the calls jusst keep on coming. I've even mentioned that my job offers their courses at no cost and they still call. I just memorized the number and just ignore the call. Since they call my cell phone, I definitely don't answer.
- Me againYep these guys don't know when to stop... I'm sure they're in their right to make the calls, but their tactics are bullying a lot of folks. The weird thing is, I've seen skillsoft software in the big corporate place I work for... so they can't be all that pressed for customers...
All I know is that I used to value their product, to a point... until they started insisting in selling.
I told them I didn't need their service anymore... and they kept trying to convince me... trying to brainwash ...
I flipped their tactics on them saying I changed careers to something they didn't have an offering for... they guy drilled me on particulars about it, and I came up with a good story (since it is partly real anyway, and I plan on doing this change sometime soon)...
Anyway... they gave up after a long conversation... I was ready for them, and they backed away.
So it looks like I'm still on their lists, and they keep calling after a while.. like once a month (I guess I'm luckier than some)... the numbers always come up on a web search to be from CBT Direct / Skillsoft, Clearwater, FLA... and they never leave messages... I just don't answer ANY unknown callers... that's what VOICE MAIL is for... if its important, they'll leave a message.
So... now I'm looking to actively block their number(s)... looking for THEIR lists.- Caller: skillsoft (CBT Direct)
