I just got a call from  a man from India who was hard to understand as well.  When I told him I would not be replying to his e-mail until I research to see if he was legit, he got really quite.  This is the e-mail he sent.  I know a scam when I see one.  FISV does not use out of state staffing agencies.  Be careful guys !!!!!

Please send 2 professional references and Updated Resume  along with the mail

AUTHORIZATION:

I,  (Full legal name) of this 16th day of, October 2012 hereby authorize VIVA USA INC (“VIVA”) to submit my resume to Fiserv for the position of Accounting Clerk Assoc at Lake Mary ,FL Contract in response to the Client’s requisition FISVJP00006999.

I hereby authorize VIVA USA INC (“VIVA”) to submit my resume to the Requisition. I confirm that I have not authorized nor will I authorize any company or individual other than VIVA to submit my resume to the Requisition. I understand that submission of my resume to the Requisition by anybody else will render my candidature disqualified. I agree that, for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of this Agreement, I will not contact any official or agent of the Client regarding the Requisition or Job or accept the Job, directly or indirectly, except with the approval of VIVA.

I also confirm that I am legally authorized to work in the United States of America and agree to produce the necessary documents to support my legal status.

I agree that I will not use or disclose to anyone any confidential information disclosed by VIVA and/or Client to any one until such information becomes a matter of general knowledge. I also agree that I will never discuss the terms of VIVA’s offer to me with Client or any of its representatives or anyone else, directly or directly, unless required by law. I understand and agree that VIVA will submit only that resume to Client which I authorize them to submit and VIVA will not change or modify the resume without my permission.

I understand my authorization to submit my resume to the Client or submission of my resume to the Client by VIVA does not constitute a promise of employment. My employment with VIVA is subject to selection by Client. I also understand that it is the absolute right of Client to select/reject me, abstain from making any decision on my candidature and withholding any information on my candidature and therefore I shall make no claims against Client or VIVA for any reason.

I understand and agree that VIVA and I may execute a Contract Agreement/Employment Agreement with detailed terms/conditions upon commencement of contract/employment. I also understand that by acceptance of this Agreement, VIVA agrees that none of the information that I provide/may provide will be used except for the purpose referred to herein and/or as required by law.

By all means, do your research.  But at the same time, you should be aware that many recruiting companies outsource some of their recruiting processes to India, ... which doesn't make it "out of state".  Many firms in the US choose to do that.

And in fact, the current contract job that I am on, I was initially contacted by a fellow from India, although they route the calls through US lines.  This is my 6th week working on this job, in the telecommuncations/IT industry.

So, go ahead and do your homework, ... but don't assume that just because you've been contacted from someone in India (that you can barely understand), that they are not working for a US based recruiting/consulting company, etc.

I agree, I have been on a job for a month that was referred to me by the same type of folks and there is nothing to worry about.

Just got a call and an email from these people.  I know for a fact there is no AT&T location in the town he  mentioned.  He gave me an address, I plugged it into Googlemaps, there is nothing there but trees.  Do not fall for these scammers.

This is definitely a scam, called me from 405-754-5395.  They would not leave a message, the third call from them they asked for me but I told them they had the wrong number.  Phone number goes to Xyant Technologies, never heard of them.  They must have gotten my phone number from Monster.com.  A legitimate and professional organization calling to set up a job interview will leave a message for a call back.
