I have been recieving these calls too. I just got one again I called the number back found the recptionist's extention which is 1100. And I spoke with a lady where I asked to be removed from their calling list. It's some type of telemarketing "Phone Worriers" or something like that I really couldn't inderstand the name when she said it. Lets just hopes this work!! Or I'll be calling them everyday...see how they like it.

call about time warner but did not call back with confimation

7:58 PM Texas time 5/16, I answered the call also and was hung up on. I checked the call record and found another call on 5/12. I wonder who owns the number?

I got a call from them around 6p EST on 05/28.  I didn't answer, but a background-talking voicemail was then left on my phone- sort of like when someone's phone calls you by mistake, while it's in their pocket.  It sounded like two black males talking, 18-25 yrs old, and from the Midwest or West Coast, I'd estimate, and it sounded like they were talking to & about girls at a social venue.. like a bar, but I can see how it might be a telemarketing place if it hires primarily young highschool/college folks.  One was saying "she look just like her, homie" and the other would laugh, etc., and one said a couple times "that's one of my victims, homie" and that startled me, and I listened to it a few times, and it sounds almost as if he was talking about pursuing the girl romantically, and not necessarily talking about me, the person whom he was calling.  I guess after about 45 seconds he finally realizes the phone was on, and says into the phone inquisitively my first name, then full name, then first name, then hangs up. Very weird.

Getting calls from this number everyday for months. Now I know it's Time Warner thanks to this forum.

Received more the 21  call from this unknown number. Did not answer the call.

This is Time Warner.  I told them the first time that I wasn't interested in their long distance phone service, and they've since called me back SEVEN TIMES IN THE PAST 24 HOURS to see if I've changed my mind yet.

This phone # belongs to a company called Phone Ware Inc.  After calling the number back w/ext 1100 (I saw it on another site w/same phone#) I got someone from Digitcom and left a very convincing  message on his v/m that I wanted some answers and that I expected a c/b (I work for a customer service call center and this is insane!) he must have forwarded it to this lady (a customer service manager) and Dee Wright called me back today to tell me I had been put on her internal do not call list. I guess getting put on donotcall.gov list (supposed to last 5 years) is not sufficient?  I think we should inundate her v/m w/as many calls as they have w/all of us!  After taking a look at their web page (www.phonewareinc.com) you can see which one you're signed up with; I noticed that I have their phone service.  They are affiliated w/Sprint, SBC, Verizon and Qwest and I assume handle their customer service (usually handled seamless).  I'm hoping that it belongs to both numbers 760-526-8134 and 760-526-8136.  Not happy, hopefully this will work.  PS Phone Ware Inc # is: 800-976-6997

I've been getting calls from this number too. Apparently they don't care about the DO NOT CALL list because they fall under the "had prior business with" loophole, because of legitimate work they have perfomed on behalf of their clients, namely SBC (which is now at&t), Sprint, Verizon, and Quest.

So my assumption is that if you have service and therefore have done legitimate business with any of those companies, then they will probably think they have a right to call you.

We must ALL report them to the FBI, FCC, FTC, and angrily complain to our cell phone carriers that have done business with them. So they are aware of the dirty, underhanded business they are operating.

Perhaps a class action lawsuit.

Some dude called and asked for me by first name, I asked him what he wanted, he didn't answer, he just hung up.

Got call from this number. Caller ID says SVCS. They never leave a message. I've never been home to answer the call. If it's Time Warner, my cable company, they could at least do me the favor of leaving a message rather than STALKING ME. I will ask AGAIN for time warner to stop calling me. If I want to change my phone service I'll contact them. JEEZ!

Got a call from this number 760-526-8134, didnt answer but there was a message. Heard the message, but it was just alot of background noise, like if in a room with lots of talking in the back.

Ive been getting the same call for weeks. I finally answered it. They are selling a consolidated package with phone, extra free DVR, internet and free movie channels. They are extremely persistent and annoying. I told them I was not interested several times but yet they still keep calling. I even told them I was going to call time warner and complain so stop f***ing calling me and hung up on them. I thought maybe it was a scam. I called my local Time Warner..turns out it's not a scam, its TW. I complained a bit and they put a code on my account so that I would not receive theses calls anymore. We will see.

By the way, you have to wait a few seconds for them to say anything when they call. Then yell at them and tell them you are going to call Time Warner and complain. Call and complain. Usually the real Time Warner will give some sort of good deal to get you to stay with them. Just threaten to go to SBC.

These "people" call every day, twice most days. No one answers, what is the point.  Caller Id was Unknown, now it is different.

TIME warner has a 1-800 number they've been in business a long time,I think these are scammers trying to pretend to be time warner.WHen TIME WARNER calls me it's only about my bill or service area problems never to try and sell me more service.They flood my mail with ads for that junk.

These people called me a few times and just hang on the line and hang up with lots of background noise.They never leave a msg on my machine.I've found the best way to get back at these idiots is to pick up and then hold down the # key on your phone.It blasts their ear with noise and I've been receiving less and less calls because of my actions.

I've had a bunch of calls even though I'm on the Do Not Call registry. The company is called Phone Ware (phonewareinc.com).  I recommend filing a formal complaint at donotcall.gov.  Maybe if we all do it, they'll shut these clowns down.

Called twice in about an hour. Since it was the same area code as me (760 - North SD County, Palm Springs, etc) I thought it might be someone I know. Didn't answer first time, no message. Picked up second time and hung up.

Some telemarkers have a computer call a bunch of numbers at the same time and whoever picks up first will connect with the operator. The rest of the people will get hung up on. Most cases the telemarketer won't even know who he or she is talking to, but just starts the pitch once he hears someone on the other end.
