Automated voice blabbering about "pre qualified for a lease" something yadda, yadda.  (I didn't listen long enough, but think it was vehicle related.  Definietly automated female voice.  Caller ID was odd, states "CALLING"

Recieved call from 760-661-0489 on my cellphone, I didn't answer but they left an automated morgage message. [***]!!

have been getting calls on both my wifes and my cell phones... we do not answer calls from people we don't know, but this number is becoming a nuisance... i just wish i knew the company's name so i could write them a letter... i have both numbers listed on the DO NOT CALL registry, but they don't care... can anyone give me the name and address of this company??

They called my cell also, which is on the do-not call list. Plus, they aren't supposed to call cell phones anyway. Their spiel to me was an extended auto warranty - but the rest of it is the same.

I got the call on my cell, 760-661-0489. I let it go to VM and they didn't leave me a message.  I really wish there was something that could be done about it, without having to record calls or get expensive lawyers involved.  I just don't answer it or I give the caller a hard time.  At first I lead them on making them think I am interested. Then I ask stupid questions, like can i pay in pennies, or is payment of $1.00 a month good enough... or perhaps an IOU note on a napkin a legal contract?

I just received a call on my work cell phone stating that my warranty for my car was about to expire and to hold to speak to someone. After waiting forever a man picked up and when I asked him who the company was he ignored me and asked for my car make and model and said that he even had my VIN# and that's how he got my cell phone number. That is impossible since my dad filed all the paperwork for my car and signed the check that we paid for the car with. I work with attorneys so I am going to have them look into this "service or company" to see if they are legitimate.

my husband just got a call from this number. he answered and no one was there. we were going to call back thinking we may have missed a call regarding an interview, but thought i'd check the number online first. glad i did cause i came across this post. thanks to all that have reported this number. hopefully something can be done quickly. sucks that they are now trying to market to us on our cell phones.

I got a call from this phone number today in Queens NY at 8pm.  It was a pre-recorded message saying something about a warranty that is expiring and they've been trying to contact me and other nonsense.   What's up with this?

All I can think is I just cancelled my fico.com credit watch program. Maybe this will help someone trace these idiots.

Have gotten calls from 760-661-0489 on my home phone on:
7/27 2:53 pm HST  I did not answer and no message left
8/7 10:58 am HST  I did not answer and no message left
8/10 2:40 pm HST  I did not answer and no message left

The caller ID said "CALLING" and the phone number 760-661-0489.  I added them to my call block list today.  Just wondering how many people receiving calls from this number are in Hawaii because I noticed at least two of the posts are from Hawaii people???  Maybe they got our numbers from a local car dealership or something related???

On a side note, I have also been recieving wierd calls on my cell phone.  This is very strange because I never give out my cell number and almost never receive calls on it except from a few family members.  The calls were:

8/8 1:52 HST 808-226-5955  I did not answer and no message left (they called twice in a row)
8/8 7:13 pm HST "no number"  I did not answer and no message left (they also called twice in a row--probably the same people from a blocked line)

Not sure if the latter is related but I thought it was worth mentioning in case anyone else has the same experience.

These scammers have called me from this number 815-960-1847 and also 760-661-0489. I am so mad because I don't give my number out to anyone. It's just for me to have DSL internet. I also pay for call blocking of numbers I enter but I just found out it only works for 808 numbers. I called Hawaii Telecom to complain and they said that I can block the number but they have to enter it at their end. If your a Hawaii Telecom customer call the Nuisance Call Bureau at 643-7111 and tell them you want these numbers blocked. Of course you have to have Call Blocking as one of the features on your plan. Aloha.

I got a call from the same number. A automated message saying my "Auto Warranty has expired", then asked me to speak to a specialist. The specialist asked me what make and year is my car. I asked her what company is this and she hung up. Scam!

1-760-661-0489 called my CELLPHONE with a recorded message saying they had already sent me several letters warning me that my auto warranty was about to expire.  Press 1 to talk to a "specialist".  She said "this is Warranty Company" and then asked for the car's year, make, and model.

I said you called me saying my warranty was about to expire.  Don't you already have all my information there in front of you?  

She immediately hung up on me without saying another word.

I got a call, didn't answer and got a portion of a message on my voice mail saying something about "warranty for repairs."
Very Gay, as in two men touching each other, if you ask me.

Call back the number in which was from a solicitor.
The automated voice will give you options.
If you get the chance to talk to a person, Do so and ask them to add your number to the (DO NOT CALL LIST) they will add you to that list, or remove you, Whatever their process is.
Or there will be an option to manually add your number to the do not call list via your touch tone phone. Which there is which this particular number.

Once again do not hesitate to call this people back and ask them not to call.

They will not know not to call you if you don’t inform them

PS im not BS'ing because i just did it myself and i have done it other times. And they have stoped calling me.

ABC News has been covering this issue lately.  Fact is Intellius - and many other "list" companies - are gathering cell numbers from every organization or business that you give your cell number to. They buy and sell lists with your cell number on it, and with your 14 year old kid's phone number on it too, and all you last known addresses as well.  There are also comapnies that specialize in getting your phone records, by stealth generally. And you can't stop them.

Congress needs to pass a privacy law to stop this crap.

Called 206 area code mobile phone. Did not answer. No message left. Searched this number on a suspicion it was a telemarketer and found this site.

FCC: Obviously, the penalties are not high enough for violators of the Do-Not-Call Registry.

I just got a call from 760-661-0489 and called the number back and talked to someone. I came across this site first to see who I was dealing with. Once I got the female on the phone I had her read me the entire warranty paper 2 times and asked question after question. What if I blew a tire will you replace them on toyo radials size 24 r 14 and if not those tires how about a set of good year eagles and I drive over a nail. I kept this up for over 20 minutes of non stop BS questions the call ended when I asked if I could pay in Lyra and began to read her all the information I had in front of me of how the Lyra started. She got flustered and hung up. We'll see if I get another call.
