Contact UHC at a known phone number, such as one found on their official website, and ask them if they called.

Caller identified himself as United Health Care saying this was an introductory courtesy call. I'd just signed up with them. Knew my name. Asked my b-day. Wished me happy almost-birthday. I found this thread as I spoke to him and so declined to continue the call. I called United Health Care and they had no record of a rep calling me. They also said they had no system for reporting or following up on imposters using their name.

Called twice today already, no message. I too have just enrolled in United Health Care. How do these spammers know that we have signed up for this health plan?  Has United Health been hacked? Or are they selling our information?

Call from 763-656-5859. Like most, if I don’t recognize the number I let it roll to voicemail. That didn’t happen on this call and based on all the feedback here, it looks like spam call. I too just enrolled with UHC this month. Annoying

As many before me here, we had recently engaged in a transaction with United Health Care. I actually tried to answer the phone when I saw the ID, but the caller heard my "please leave a message" recording and didn't stay on the line. Thank goodness! Another site warned that it was a robocaller with a severe call activity and advised not to answer. Could it be that a low-life employee found a way to make extra money?

I recently signed up with UHC/AARP. They email me important messages or mail documents or tell me to look online. I am not answering unknown phone numbers. My insurance has not started. I don't need a personal call for anything. I also got calls from another number last week that people said it was UHC.

That's what I would like to know. I received a call and said potential scam. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I feel if it really was United Health Care they would leave a message.

This is United Healthcare sales spam. One day after I inquired about enrolling in a Medicare supplement plan, I began getting calls from this number. My carrier marked them "potential spam," so I didn't pick up. Nobody left a message. When I called back, a recording told me to call a different number with questions about United Healthcare AARP Medicare plans. Lesson: If you must give out your phone number, ask to be put on the marketing do-not-call list.

Got call from this number today while I was unavailable. Shows from Minnesota. I've been a long time member of UHC with no recent calls to them.

Really?  "Untied Healthcare"  My goodness they should at least send a shill here that could spell.  Guess that is not ever going to happen though since all shills are incredibly stupid.  By the way, post reported for lying which is against the TOS.

Same. Called me 4 times this week. Didn’t leave message, so I finally blocked. Caller ID says the call is coming from Minneapolis.

Called my cell twice today, no message.  Number is now BLOCKED.

1.  I will NEVER answer a call from an unknown number.
2.  Legitimate callers should/would leave a message.   No message ==  extreme caution
3.  If they call my cell and no-message, I will BLOCK the number.
4.  This scammer(?) claims to be UHC but has much more info than they should.
5. This suggests a data breach at UHC, or perhaps at AARP?

This number has called several times.  Doesn't leave a message.   If I do not recognize,  I dont answer.   Also with United Health Care.

Four calls since yesterday afternoon. All come up as TELEMARKETER. Glad to read this as when I googled the number it came up UHC which I just signed up for. No reason for them to call and not leave a message if they are who they say.
