Scott Stamper had a message that told me to call my local police dept because this call is a hoax !  I had my husband call back but the message was changed and just said to leave a message ! This guy is crazy! I never answer calls I don t know but was expecting call from insurance and don t know his name. I ll never answer again !

I also received a call, no one answered... these are penetrating our cell phones now. I have a do not call registration, and my home phone can block 25 callers- it's now full.

But- I still answer most calls when unknown- because my son is overseas, and he and his fellow GI's borrow each others call cards, cellphones- so an incoming unknown may be him.

When I get someone answer for marketing- I take a deep breadth- cause they never do- and when I start my sentence I don't stop till I hang up..

"I appreciate your call, I've given to many charities, don't take this personal, take me off your calling list. Good day and Goodbye- HANGUP FAST!"  

It's simpler than getting angry- and these are people trying to make a buck, so treat them with some courtesy, just don't waste much time. If you answer quickly- you can get your message out faster than witing for the ringing to stop.

I called the number back and it says= If you want to be placed on our do not call list press #1 now. Then it said it would take up to 24 hours to go in to affect.
Now I can go back to sleep. Zzzzzzzzzz

Wow - some of you people are so mean!!  I thought this was a place to share info.  Won't bother next time that's for sure.

These calls are intrusions into everyone's lives.  They are also illegal scam attempts at getting what these 'callers' are trying to steal from us (money, bank/credit card info, more money, our time, other sensitive personal information, our identities etc.) ... no one can be a lamb to the slaughter for these criminals. And that's what they are!!
• use recorded messages - ILLEGAL
• use robo-dialers - ILLEGAL
• ALWAYS ask for our CC #
• also used numbers other scammers have used
• use caller id spoofing for malicious purposes - ILLEGAL

They do not maintain any no call list and refuse to stop calling )phone harassment, as they are all unwelcome, unwanted and uninvited calls); will also place your number on a "suckers list" they share with other scammers.

How can one expect anyone to be 'passive' when such criminals are at least seeking to make victims out of us? Not possible! And go back to the first page and read through each post ... there are posts that DO share important info about these scam calls. Just got to look!

Sprint allows me to BLOCK up to 50 numbers. Dial *2 and they'll help you, or go to My Sprint and do it yourself. I've blocked 14 numbers since the first of the month. Don't have Sprint? Too bad!!!

I got a call from this number on my cell phone.  Didn't answer it since I don't know anyone from Lafayette, IN and they didn't leave a message either.

no message - CID repeated phone number.  I've blocked this caller.

Yea, he tried again today and I found out by checking the call list on the service I use. Give it up little Scotty, you lose ... I win. You're not getting through and my phone never rings win you 'call', got it!!! The more you try the more foolish, idiotic and desperate you look!

I've gotten 3 calls so far today (Thursday 2012-07-12), I did not answer and let them ring.  Two are very familiar to me, but 480-733-2431 is new to my rotation of annoyance, and a Google search says that many people verify that number is also from scammers:

received a call at 2:19pm on 7/13/2012 from this number but didn't answer since the area code nor the phone number were familiar plus no message was left so likely unwanted/unwelcomed telemarketing/spam despite being long registered on the federal Do Not Call Registry and now on the State of Florida No Call List; I have also received other calls from this number so definitely annoying and illegal

I missed the call so i called back. they said to notify  my local police dept.,of the call. it was strange,so i hung up. i called again when my husband came home and  i got   the Medicar    message...I ll  never answer this number again!

Yeah right, like the "do not call" registry works. Telemarketers don't care about that list.

they called my home no. then my cell no.  said the F B I  said there was a break-in in my neiborhood and they wanted to sell me something but i hungup before i heard anymore.   I am sick of there calls..

I have been getting this number from some company about Arthritis info. Apparently in the past,
I filled out some survey, and I crossed the box, that I have arthritis, which I have.
I have been on the no call list in the past,but it does not seem to do any good.
I understand people have to make a living, I am just afraid that if I answer this call, somebody will
give my number to someboody else. And the calls will just keep coming.

Who knows if this number really has to do with anyting about Arthritis. I wonder if somebody is  just
trying to get personal info about me.

This number calls me six or seven times a week and never leaves a message.  I'm on the no call list as well.  This is very irratating.

I hadn't gotten any scam calls for almost a week, I thought it was finally over, but no, I got a call from this number again on Thursday 2012-07-19, I did not answer and let it ring (4 rings):

But maybe it's finally tapering off, and these jerks are finally figuring out that calling a dead number 100 times is a waste of time.  Ha ha, yeah, I know, I'm dreaming.
