It is moral or right to break the law and lie, threaten and otherwise commit fraud to attempt to collect a debt that you purchased for pennies on the dollar in hopes of making a profit off people's ignorance?

Paying your bills is fine as long as you can pay for food,mortgage ,car,ect.But you can talk all the [***] you want, I know what you would pay if you had to make a choice.God will judge you also.And another thing know what you are talking about before you shoot your mouth off.These collection agencies buy your debt for around 3-5 cents on the dollar.Then they hope to scare you into paying them when you never even heard of them.So in my opinion they created their own problem.If you didn't pay the first party why would you pay a second party? I would say I wish your luck would turn bad and they came after you , but that is something I wouldn't wish on anyone.I forgive you and hope GOD touches your heart. God Bless

You guys are truly deadbeats. You really need to Google the definition of a deadbeat on the internet and I'm pretty sure your names would come up. No one said to starve yourselves or go homeless for a bill. We all deep down, even during this recession, we have money to do diligence with and if I had a bill for two days ago, let alone 10 years ago, I would pay something towards it. Maybe not the whole thing because there is interest, but I would pay something at least what I actually purchased or money I used. It's sad that there are people out there that think about not paying debts and think it's okay and the right thing to do. I can understand if you just don't have it, but if you do have and all you have to do is not pick up the alcohol for that weekend out of the month to pay your bills, why don't you? That's why the economy is screwed now because of deadbeats like yourselves on welfare and such and not paying taxes or bills. I'm a tax payer and I'm tired of covering your losses just because you wanted to splurge 7 years ago. Grow up, be responsible.

I got a call from these [***]. They said I owed had taken out a sprint phone and paid the bill with a stolen credit card, and that if I didn't pay the balance, that they would have a sheriff detain me. I started getting suspicious and called to get the address, they would not give it to me and hung up on me. I have never had a sprint phone, and sure didn't steal anyone's credit card.  What's scary is that they have all my information, they even read my social security number to me.

um if they have your SSN it sounds like you've been the victim of ID Theft, you'll probably want to get your credit report and see what's going on there...

If they had ur SSN nine times out of ten u had an account with them but someone probably stole ur identity to get the account u need to file a identity theft report

They have  changed there number to 773-761-9473. They said there is a claim filed against me in the state of PA. and said I've got 24 hrs to contact ATT. Roger Epstein. With a case number that contains part of my SS number. They also said they were going to call my place of employment.

They have called my mother's home twice using the name Epstein and Associates.  She spoke with someone by the name of Megan Sheilds.  I doubt if that's her real name.  These people need to be stopped.

I received a call from the same company on yesterday, but the phone number was 404-254-0866. There is no address for this number I called information. Could this be the same people? There is another site I went to, and found that they were advertising for employment for third party collectors. The address is 2459 Roosevelt Highway in College Park, GA.
When they call my cell this name appeared Div Light Mini.

no it cant be the same company there company is located in illinois and indiana i've found that they are an actual collection agency but they are collecting on old and new debt it actually varies i was able to get a actual location address and called the bbb and they let me know who they were

This company is a total scam they took 892.76 from my checking account and it showed up as 2nd Chance Collections so I'm filing suit against the company and on top of that two hours later I get a call from supposed Sheriff's Department

I got a call from some one claiming to be at the sheriffs department in my county saying a warrant was issued for my arrest for missing a court date.  I googled the number and infact the name and address for the number was the Sheriffs department.  He told me that his deputy had delivered the summons to such and such address (4 houses down the street from my actual address) and I had to either bring $500 to the sheriffs department or call 773-262-7158 and talk to the law offices of Roger Ebstein.  I called the number and I was told by the "paralegal" that it was for a credit card from a bank I had never heard of and the debt was now $5000 most of it was bank fees and court costs...but they would settle for $1000.

recieved a call yesturday... a man said call this office immediatly , you have a warrent for your arrest....call now to settle this debt or there will be a warrent issued for your arreast...then hung up . No name no info nothin

recieve same phone call in january gave them my debit card number as well. have these people being investigated as we speak, please beware
