Stupid repeated calls for over a week, ending with pick-up, pause, hang-up.  Called # back, asked them to stop calling, adding that I'm not a customer of theirs, and have been listed on the do-not-call registry since its existence.

Clear to me THEY don't believe I'm the person they seek (nor my spouse, who's encountered same hang-ups), or they'd SPEAK, right?  Asked ME for info!  *yeah, right*

They also call me on a daily basis, never leave a message and when I answer there is no one there.

I receive a recording approximately the same time every afternoon.  I have been receiving calls for about two weeks now.  The recording states it is reference to a debt owed.  A few months back I received a call from Iowa State student loans and advised them the party they were calling did not live at this resident.  I stated my wife and myself had this number for several years and had no children in college. I have not received anymore calls from the college 1-800-243-7552.  Now I received a call from this party also, 1-800-910-4572 but with no message are answer from this number.

I have been getting daily calls from this number for more than a month. When I pick up they either hang up, or it's a recording telling me to call a phone number about a debt (which of course I don't do). How do I stop this harassment?

I receive calls up to 6 times a day from this number. I am in Bankruptcy and they have been notified. They will try to collect the debt however they can until the judge writes off on my BK. My lawyer states to keep track of how many times they call your number and submit it. Collectors will always continue to call any working number they have trying to collect the debt! If you truly are being harassed, then keep records and submit it to both the FTC and/ or a lawyer. If it is truly out of the limit for collection, they will owe you money. Good luck

IGNORE THESE CALLS!

I started getting calls from this number about 3 weeks ago.

1) I have no outstanding debts.
2) I haven't had this phone # long enough to have given it out to any company I could be in debt to.

I looked this up on the internet.

What these guys do is purchase OLD DEBT...many times your OLD DEBTS have already been satisfied or removed from your records (if you ever had your wallet stolen, they might be buying records for debts that weren't yours and aren't even on your record anymore). They make these purchases for pennies and then go claim the debt without having to hand over the money to anyone.

Frankly...they aren't going to leave you alone.

Even if you're like me and they're clearly trying to go after the last person to have your number.

I read online that they did this to a judge and he had to take "judiciary" measures. Since the rest of us aren't so lucky...BLOCK the number and ignore them.

And if you're NOT SURE about your credit, get a FREE credit report so you know exactly what you're dealing with.

Called several times have told them the person they are calling is not at this number said they would take it off but they keep calling for about 2 years now

I Don't Owe Allied Interstate anything.

I don't owe anyone a penny. They call my business line and ask for someone at my house who hasn't lived here for over 15 years. Isn't this against the law?  What idiots.

My mother was getting calls and so I gave them a bogus name--something like Gladys Dinglehopperski.  They wanted all kinds of information about "me". I said that if they were calling me about my financial information, then they should know about me.  The guy started getting really rude.  Fast forward to 10 weeks and my mom started getting letters addressed to a Gladys Dinglehopperski.


Now my 11 year old is getting calls.  We havent answered them and won't.

I received the same call: "Please stay on the line..." bla-bla-bla. I hung up and then called it back. A guy answered that said they are "Allied Interstate" and they were looking for Sarah Looper. I told him there was nobody here that had that name of had ever had that name. I told him that I seemed to receive calls frequently from that number and I would like it to stop. He assured me that it would as he would remove the number from the system. (We'll see.)

Then I asked if Allied Interstate was a debt collection agency looking for deadbeats and he said that it was. I told him that nobody at this number owed anything to anybody, and he again assured me that my number was flagged for removal. (Within 24 hours)

So, if any of you know Sarah (or Sara) Looper... beat the crap out of her because she is the cause of all of our problems.

finally after over 2 weeks of calls from this number I answered and there was an actual voice.  Wanted to speak to Britney Davis who I've been getting calls for, for over 7 years.  They promised to quite calling but they also had my home number and those calls with an important message from allied interstate keep coming even after I spoke with them.  FRUSTRATING!!!!!

add Brittney Davis to that list!  7 plus years of calls for her - sears, apartment companies, allied intersate, you name it we've had a call.  i feel your pain!

I can't figure how who these people are I don't owe anyone any money and they call 7 am clear up to 9 pm. I googled Allied Interstate and found this info:

Allied Interstate is a collection agency which has made its presence felt through all sorts of wrong reasons. It has become a regular phenomenon for Allied Interstate to violate Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the set of laws governing the guidelines for collection agencies.

Some of the common malpractices and harassing techniques used by Allied Interstate are:

•Calling family members, relatives and friends of the debtor and threatening them over phone.
•Making calls to the debtor on a regular basis without prior permission.
•Wanting to settle debt issues without documenting it.
•Using abusive languages while interacting with the debtor.
•Allied Interstate have made it a practice to contact wrong person and who actually don't owe any money to anyone.
•They review credit reports without any prior permission from anyone.
•Allied Interstate make threatening calls to a debtor throughout the entire day up to 9 pm.
•They also have the tenacity to harass a debtor throughout the whole year.
•Allied Interstate will call you without leaving behind any contact numbers or email address. The only thing they leave behind is their mailing address which again is doubtful in many cases.
•Follow-up with C&D (cease & desist) letter is absent.
Most of the above mentioned malpractices are violating FDCPA rules and hence you can sue them if you are facing any such problems from Allied Interstate Collection Agency.

In many cases it has been observed that they have called or contacted such person who doesn't owe them anything. But don't ignore the calls because they can go to any extent and may also drag you to the court. In such a case, Allied Interstate Inc. may take advantage by highlighting the fact that you never responded to their intimation and ignored the debt account. The best way to tackle such call is to send a debt validation (DV) letter to them and ask them to verify the debt. Also check whether any negative information has been entered in your credit report. If Allied Interstate fails to validate the debt then you can send them a Cease and Desist (C&D) letter to stop their harassment and they are bound to follow it.

It has also been observed that Allied Interstate collection agency is harassing people over a debt which he never had and also reported it in their credit report. In such a situation they can ask the concerned credit bureau to validate the debt which they are bound to do within a time-frame of 30 days. If the bureau fails in the same then the harassed person can ask the bureau to erase, rectify or update his/her credit report.

US Dept of Education also uses them and w/ all the negative feed back on this really makes me question certain things. I keep seeing Contact Lexington Law firm on Google for Allied Interstate Harrasing you.

This number (775-319-1502) call my cell phone a minimum of 5 times a day, every day, 7 days a week.  I have no idea who they are, what they want, or how they got my cell number.  They NEVER leave a message.  the only reason I know that that number has called is because it shows up on my call list (missed calls) on my cell.  I have gotten so many calls from that number that I setup my cell to not even ring and send the damn call straight to voicemail!!  This is OUT OF CONTROL!!!
