Did'nt answer, thank god! The area code was one I don't recognize, so I went to the computer and entered it. This site popped up with all the same calls. Thanks for your service, I just added it to my "reject" list, so hopefully that'll be my last call from them to my CELL phone!!!

how can they make money if you just return the call but don't do anything after that but hang up (came in on my cell phone)

if you do press "one" do be removed from the list (a very American accented voice) then tells you to type in your phone no, including area code "after the beep".  I typed in their own no. once, and a second time 12125551212 (a movie?TV nonsense no.)

Until this, I've never been asked to give my  phone no. to get it off a call list (since they already know what no. they've called...) much less to punch in the no's into a recording device.  If anyone knows how this "scam" (can't see what else it can be.....) works - is there a device that can take the sounds of punched in no's from a cell or land line and somehow "load" up a phone with a new (the one someone is stupid enough to punch in....) no. and then start calling as if from your own phone???

I'll check back in a few days for an answer - if any one has one.  mahalo.  Margalit

Ditto all the above - same thing happened to me.

I received this call at 11:30am EST. No message was left. I Google search this area code and found this website. Thank you for all your posting. Informations you guys posted help other like me know it a SPAM.

Call came in at 12:27 PM Nov.17th..cell phone.  Static recorded and spanish speaking female.  Hung up and researched and found all of this info........

Just got a call from this number. Didnt answer, didnt leave a voice mail. Area code says its Reno area...

This number called me at 8am in southern Cali. I didnt answer. Usually numbers like these are collection agencies..

Just received a call from this number. Let it go to voicemail. No message left. Glad I didn't answer after reading all these comments.

Just received a call about 20 minutes ago.  At first I thought it was this one girl who I'm supposed to be going on a date with in a couple of hours, and the area code said it was from Nevada (I live in Vegas).  But her name would've shown up on my ID instead of the number.  So, I let it go...no message and I typed in the number in google and this site popped up.  Thanks for the warning!

I just noticed a possible pattern for this person.

They called my cell. Got recording in Spanish about a prize to be claimed.

I got this call at 6:17 pm today Nov. 18, 2009 and it was the same as everyone else has said. Static, noise, a woman speaking Spanish. I hung up and then "Googled" the phone number. I don't have any more info than any of you do.

got the call, but i don't understand spanish. my concern was (is) that it was an int'l call for which i would have to pay extra.

I got this call at 6:45pm on November 18th, in Sacramento, CA - it was recording in Spanish, woman's voice, noise, static...

Same as everyone says--static, a message I couldn't understand and then the American message about a travel related call
