Called my cell Friday 2/6/09 at 11:00AM. Ignored it, then Googled the number. That search brought me here.

Just got call in South Florida (561 area code).  Woman's recorded voice on line speaking Spanish.

I live in 847 area code too but I answered, it was a spanish recording saying I won $1000 and to press one to accept, so I did..ha ha
Anyway, it was a call center and a lady came on the line asking if I had a Visa or MasterCard and I said yes and she asked if I could get it and I told her I wasn't going to give her my credit card number and she said "See you later" and hung up on me!! What a bunch of scammers!

Live in 847 area code just got a call from the number. Didn't pickup

Received the call in Spanish. Even though my number is registered in national Do-not-call list.

My coworker and I both got the same phone call within two minutes of each other. He's on AT&T, I'm on USCellular, both in Chicago. We both recently bought things off Amazon, and unfortunately both felons.

Anyone else have any sort of scrapes with the law that might have something to do with this?

They called me twice and I did not answer...its a nevada number

no message left by caller @ 3:08 p.m. on 06Feb to area code 847 in CT

Nope, not a felon. It is an equal opportunity scam.

+77 is the Country Code for Santa Lucia, it's in the Caribbean.

+77 55 62 01 97 is how this call would be written out if you were in Santa Lucia.

They're trawling through numbers that are or have-been listed on Craigslist posts.

The Spanish message is:
"Congratulations! You've won the prize in our national lottery."

If you press "1" to "Claim your prize" in Spanish, you'll begin being back-billed to a foreign information clearing house number, as they're called.
At rates of up to $20.00 a minute, just for connecting for a SECOND, you're gonna get charged for a whole minute.

It's an offshore MEGA-scam. Keep it under the "d*****bags" listing in your phone. Like "d*****bags-1" and "d*****bags-2" so that you know who's calling.

just got the same call, 847 area code

I received two blocked calls within an hour of eachother that I did not answer. Ten minutes after the second call I get a call from 7755620197 but I didn't answer it since I didn't recognize it.

Received the call 2 minutes ago, I didn't answer, as I do with all calls from numbers I don't recognize.
I live in Vancouver, BC area code 604.

Picked up the call and the message was in Spanish. I hung up.

My sister in-law got the call first then after few hours I got the call.  Didn't pick up the phone.  I have a feeling it's a telemarketer.

Didn't leave a message for me. I just got this number last week and telemarketers are calling already. :(
