Selling signage at a local golf course????

I was left a message on my voicemail asking me to return the phone call to this number.  I called back and spoke to "Matt" telling him who I was and where I was calling from.  He said "Never mind the position has been filled, thanks for your time".  I laughed and said "I have no idea what you are talking about. Is this for a job or something?"...he stated it was not.  I prodded further asking if it was for some work to be done and he said yes and said again said thank you for your time.  "Matt" was extremely rude, unprofessional and in all aspects of humanity....A [***]!  The call I received was unsolicited and unwanted but the least "Matt" could have done was been courteous and explained the intention of his call.  BEWARE of rudeness and [***] from the numbers (781) 935-2501 or (781) 281-1726.  The original call was made in pursuit of some type of work or sponsorship for Prince George Golf Course (Prince George, VA).  If this is the best representation they can hire then I would recommend avoiding this golf course, also.  By the way, I live just a short drive from this "golf course" and I can assure you that it is a dump.  The club house is a double wide trailer and the course from the road looks like a cow pasture.

I appreciate the other postings. I had a solicitation on my phone, evidently to advertise at Royal Vista Golf Course (a real nice place). New clients generally come only from existing client referrals. I so appreciate this posting because Area Code 781 is in Boston, and I'm outside of Los Angeles. I love personal relationships, but this just wouldn't work.

We just got the same call - guy said he was Chad from Garrison Golf Club - a very small 9-hole course - scammer

They called, left me a message saying they work for Mink Meadows Golf Club. I called them back and they answered as Lens Crafters. I finally got the gentleman that called the first time Daniel, I told him I was not interested and he hung up abruptly. If I am going to advertise it will only be from a local company. This could be a scam!!

This is a scam see yelp and ripoff report for Golf Course guide. I Called the Golf Course they were trying to sell me and they had no idea what I was talking about.  Salesmans "fake name" is  Thomas Whigman. Info and IP adress has been sent to FBI.

I remember this bunch of crooks.  They have a habit oif having company paid shills come here and put "glowing" reports up, too bad the hired the three stooges this time to do it.

This number called our business today at 1642 hours.  The caller ID said "Benchcraft Comp" and  it was not a local number so I let the recorder pick up the call.  They did not leave a message.  For the heck of it, I blocked my number and called them back.  Some guy answered.  When I asked why they called he said he didn't call, he only answers the phone.  He asked where I was located.  When I told him which state, he knew what area I'm in without being told.  I didn't confirm it, however, only asked why he was asking that.  He said it was because they were "working with" some golf courses in that area.  I told him I was familiar with their scam, suggested what he could do with himself, and promptly disconnected.  Thanks everyone for posting so I knew what to expect.

On my answering, was this message from-(Zack) Spring Creek, outpost. Said Please call him back! I thought would check this area code out 1st-781- found out number from this is probably scam. Thanks for other posts.

call received from 781-935-2618 but left call back number of 781-935-2501. did not say he was trying to sell advertising but thanks to 800 notes I see that's what this is. I wish these callers would be up front about the reason for their calls. Feels dishonest to me to not say why you are calling and is disrespectful to take our time asking for a call back so they can make a sales pitch.

I just received a call and he had a bad attitude.
I  guess that everyone is a target now.
I don't own a business and he wanted me to buy advertising at a golf course. I don't golf either so I am not familiar with the golf course at all.

"Brian" calling from Forest Park Golf course . EXCEPT that's a lie. This is a 781 number listed as Bench Craft in Massachusetts.  A 718 number would be the Queens NY golf club.
Clearly a spoofed number. Blockes.

P.S. I live in PA, so neither city would be relevant to me.

This people work for a company called BENCH CRAFT OUT OF OREGON. They have a bunch of fly by night offices around the country and they pretend to be golf course owners. THEY LIE about the results of ads placed on golf courses, scorecards and other printed material. I overheard a conversation between a guy talking to me and his bossy manager. They are instructed by their sweatshop masters to sell sell sell no matter what. I wonder what kind of pressure these terrible sales people go through. If you are a sales guy for a shady company like this you must be really desperate for pocket change money after being screwed as an uber and lyft driver. BOYCOTT BENCH CRAFT as a customer and worker. This company needs to go away!

Annoying sales guy trying to sell me a "spot" in a local golf course program...

Had this number call me twice so i answered , said that they sponsored  Lebanon Valley golf coarse, and after rattling off for a while he said he only had 4 spot avaible and he wanted $420, i said i need to check my balance and i will get back to him but he insisted to close the deal NOW so hung up, was very unprofessional.
