My 14 YO daughter got a call from this number on her cell.  The only relationship she has with FP&L is that her Grandmother is a customer.

I got a call from this number but if it is true that it's from florida then why did they call my cell ? I live no where near Florida ?

I've recieved 7 calls from this number in less than 3 hours. I live near Ft. Myers, FL. My ringer was off and I havent tried returning the call. I guess after reading this I wont try.

I reveceid a eletronic message today from 786 245-0093 says: "That's Florida Power Light, you have a past due bill, if you do not paid immediatelly your name will be in the collect agency". I call FPL, they told me is a fraud.
Please guys, don't give any personal information if someone call from FPL, make sure that is not a fraud first.

they left a message on my answerphone letting me know they'll be out to read meter and please put dog up.  Don't have dog, never HAD  dog, don't want dog and definitely don't want unwanted phone calls.

This is an automated message from Florida Power and Light, letting you know they will be reading your meeter tomorrow, and to remove any pets from the yard.

It was FPL letting me know that my new rentors were getting the power in their name. The call back number was 1-800-226-3545 which is FPL.

It's said Florida Power & Light Company. saying another person has applied for service at my address.......what a crock!!

This is an automated call from Florida Power & Light asking you to put your dogs up the following day so the meter reader can come in the yard to read the meter.

They don't leave a message because it is computer generated and will continue to call until the "system" detects a live answer.

This number called me and I live in Iowa.... The lady on the other end of the line kept asking me questions even after I said she had the wrong number so I just hung up.

If you're looking for a job you had better call them back.  I just got a call from the number and it was a recruiter from FPL or NextEra Energy wanting to set up an interview.

This is a series of scams. First of all, when someone from Florida Power & Light calls you, (in the RARE event it would happen) your caller ID will say Florida Power & Light, NOT "FPL". I called the Florida Power & Light company and they even admit this is a scam, and FPL will NEVER call you to put your dog away, as meter readers are trained to deal with aggressive dogs by NOT reading your meter. You want power, you put your day away from the meter. Period. That is how they deal with it.

My guess is the scam is to see what hours you are home to burglarize your home. Do us all a favor. Don't answer, buy a gun and wait for the [***] to walk in your home and kill each and every one that comes.

It is FPL requesting you to chain you dog, and unlock your gate for meter reading.

I get this automated call every month from FPL sometimes a message is left sometimes not.

I had a call from this number today. When I called back it said the number was disconnected, whats the deal here??

I don't know why they said its disconnected but they do. But if you let the call go to voice mail you'll get the automated recording asking you to "for our employees safety please chain your dog & unlock your gate for accurate meter reading. I get the call every month.

They KEEP calling me and state they are a medicare provider named Together Health.  And that someone in the household answered a survey from them about diabetes or back problems.

Call came in on my caller ID as FPL

Caller introduced herself and stated she was with FPL
Wanted to request a time to have a inspector come by to confirm work was done to improve the energy efficiency at our home

I called the number back and got a recording no longer in service
