- EmilyGot a text actually from this number this evening. Seems to be bouncing any replies I've sent to another number. Strange, since this number is new since I've moved from Florida over 3 years ago, and they've never called before.
- Caller: Unknown

- wreckI live in Colorado. What gives? No message left. Numbers been disconnected. How did they get my number?
- Mikael ScottIf it is the Floriday Power Company then we have a problem as I live in washington state.
- Annoyed| 1 replyReceived this call today, came up FPL, and the man on the phone asked if I had power in the apartment. I asked if there was a power outage, and he stated that the "electronic readers" sometimes flag a power outage. I told him I was out, and he said to call back if there was no power when I got home. I called the number back, and it is disconnected. I have a feeling it is a scam, and probably he and his buddies are maybe trying to see who, and when people are home, so that they can go and rob the place. Don't give out any information over the phone. Creeps, people are always trying to find a way to scam others.
- Caller: "FPL" not
- Call type: Prank
- frmrradiodjshayLEGIT call from FPL. I called per a Florida Today newspaper article. FPL spokesperson quoted as styating you could call to be placed on a "postponement list" regarding Smart Meters. She lied. All FPL does is have the Customer Advocacy Department call from this # to "educate you" and inform you there's "no health risks" and that it "is inevitible" and you "really have no choice."
I DID tell the person who supposedly put me on that list I did not want them to call. Obviously it was disregarded.- Caller: FP&L
- Call type: Event reminder
- frmrradiodjshay replies to AnnoyedIf you have an FP&L smart meter, and the call came from this number, it is NOT a prank. Still, I am the biggest advocate to NOT GIVE OUT info. If this happens, tell them you will dial the power company directly IF you have a problem as their meters are supposed to be "smart."
This # is a LEGIT FP&L number.
Unfortunately, it's going to take the State getting involved to stop this. We're supposed to accept safety on their say so? Not a conspiracy theorist, but I do NOT want this meter installed in my home. - frmrradiodjshay replies to huuuaaahLEGIT. FPL calls from a bank- you can't call back because u have to call their toll free # NOT one calling you. It's Customer Advocacy Group of FPL trying to "explain" safety of Smart Readers which thousands of customers have called into Cus Service to say NO. They call you back trying to convince u it is safe and u have no choice. Newspapers all over ran articles, and FPL spokesperson lied saying customers could be put on postponment list- there is NO SUCH THING.
