- Sarge1120| 1 replyHello from Canada,
Just to let everyone one know you are not alone. They are now in Canada. My wife has received 2 calls with the same MO (Motive). This ( I can't say what I really mean ) "gentleman" name was George WILLIAMS whom had a very heavy accent....hummmmmm flag #1......Same deal. Our name was selected from a select few. He was selling holiday vouchers. When my wife asked how he got our info...same deal....from paying all our bills on time etc. He also commented on how young she sounded. Again same MO. He tried to get her to give her CC number. Being a member of the RCMP in Canada....STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM.............- Call type: Telemarketer
- bianca kI've had 15 calls from the same man from this 'company', and i've recieved multiple abusive calls from them.
One man in particular keeps calling, verbally abusing me over the phone. He's asked for my mother to take him for a drink, he claimed to live next door to us, and he recited our adress, then said he lived in london, and then in india.
He told me to call him on his personal mobile, and basically they keep calling back to harrass us.
i want to know if there is any police hotline that we can use to call asbout this, because me and my mother are really quite concerned.- Caller: Platinum Holidays

- Anthony| 2 repliesThey are totally fraud. They are just changing their name and running the same scams. All of they are Indians/Asians and introducing their self with a fake English name. They will also do your emotional blackmail by telling about the Delhi etc. I got some information about the promoter of this package who is One Touch Solutions based in Noida and director name is Dharmesh Shah. They have same sort of cases in Australia and NZ also. Be aware

- theeditor replies to AnthonyJust received a call from them with an long explanation of the package being offered. I asked for something written and they have sent me an e-mail. They don't have anything they can send me in the post! They are going to ring me back tomorrow...
- wildbird| 2 repliesI received the call from this company today. Well, there was a very long explanation how lucky I was to be chosen and what a great deal they have to offer. Many earlier comments do match what I was listening to and where this call was from.
They had asked me to confirm my full name and address to which I replied that as I already so lucky to be chosen you probably already know my name - and to my surprise, yes, they did! They have given me my name and an address. This made me feel very uncomfortable as on a back of my mind I did already realise that I am dealing with scammers. When I asked how they got my details, they simply said that 118.com is the source. Hmm..must say that when I was ordering my land line I requested my details and phone no to be kept private and not to be listed on any phone directory. I have checked myself ... and yes, my name (slightly misspelled though) and a number, with my FULL address were there... "Thank you" BT for "following" up requests of your customers and doing everythng to "protect" their privacy! There is even an option to text the landline number to any mobile phone no!!!
Well, I have several times tried to stop a conversation, but the person on the other side of the line would not let me unless I just did hang up and would behave really rude. May be I should had done it when this first came to my mind as at the end of the conversation I was advised with a joyfull laughter that I am the one to pay the bill for this call!
I am awaiting comments from BT now!- Caller: Platinum Holidays

- Subhendu Paul| 5 repliesWell i recieved a call from platinum holiday 3 months ago and they offered me 4 vouchers for 99 pounds and valid for 4 yrs in a 5 star resort or hotel the agents name was probably val hayden .i gave them my credit card details and i authorised them to take 99pounds from my card as i thought it was a good deal to have a free stay in a 5 star resort for 28 days ....well it did sound liike a [removed] and abull story in the beging and i wasn't very comfortable giving out my card details but i used the couchers a month ago when i went to spain and egypt, well i would say i got all they promised me,coz i heard them when they were offering me the deal on the fone ,i wasn't in the kitchen or i wasn't busy with my kids , i wouldn't say its a scam coz i was hearing them properly ......so all you gotta do is here them propely when they speak .they said my accomodation would be free and it was free in spain and egypt,i paid for my flight and food,so i got what platinum holidays promised me that was free accomodation and the only amount taken out off my credit card was 99 pounds....not even a single penny more than that....well i had a lovly vacation for 28 days and nights in a 5 star resort in spain and egypt and i didn't pay a single penny , all i paid was 20 pounds of booking charge when i booked my resort 30 days before i went out for my vacation....SO instead of looking faults and writing stupid scraps about the company u didn't even experience with ,try and enquire about it experience it and than write a scrap about it ,most of the scrap writers don't even know what platinum holiday is and never used their vouchers ....try it and than scrap it...PLATINUM HOLIDAYS Thank you!

- Mrs. Lorraine ElhamamsyThis company rang and told me I had won holiday vouchers. Each voucher was for one weeks accommodation, for 4 people, valid for 2 years. They had my card number but didn't require my security number and the cost would be £99. I told them not to take any money as I was already overdrawn. I discovered, a few days later, they had taken the money.

- sidra| 1 replyiv just got the same call from this fagit. I dont know how the [***] he got our number but anyway he started sayin that we won 4 vouchers and could go into any country etc. The man on the phone sounded quite convincing but I was told to hang up by another family member but they called me back instantly and said that we had already paid and they just needed our visa card details after many persuasions I gave my visa reference number and expiry date but not my pin code or anything I just want to know that if they could still take money off me regardless that I didn't give my pin number???

- RAFAL ROJEKThe same story. Unfortunately I gave them my credit card details but finally i refused to pay.
After some time ( about week) another call reminding me about offer. Then after another week next call informing that offer is still valid. And after about next week I have found out that my credit card was debited. Do not talk to them !- Caller: Platinum Holidays
