Claim to be Social Security

Scam....pretending to be Social Security with reports of suspicious illegal acivity then threatened to cut off Social Security if I didn't call the number!

Didn’t answer. 1 second voicemail. Sounds like it says die. Satan doing telemarketing calls now?

Recorded call message stating..."this is Social Security and we are telling you your account has been compromised...press 1 to talk to agent to clear this up".  This is a total scam ...do not panic and press any buttons ...be smart 1. Call your bank and verify your account is safe. 2 If needed call Social Security and verify your account status.

+1 800-068-1111  ...  Left voicemail fragment, sounds like "Please die"; but is more likely a truncated "Please dial" followed by a number, perhaps.  Seems scammish, as reported elsewhere.

Definitely a scam since even if the Social Security Administration did call (they don't) instead of sending mail, they wouldn't spoof the number they're calling from.
No North American area code or phone number prefix begins with a 0 or a 1.

Sounded scammish, it was scammish. Not only was the recording broken and hard to hear, but after pressing one, someone with an accent talks to you, asks if you received a case number and when I replied no, asked for my name. I hung up. Report this number!

I just got the same call and thought it said the same thing!

The voicemail only said "Goodbye" and ended. Scam I'm sure.

Seriously, these people don't give up. What else will they think of.

They claimed to be calling from social security.

Pathetic. Ask them exactly where they are located, that you wish to meet with them. Listen just how fast they all hang up.

You are receiving this pre-recorded message is to notify you that we have got an order to suspend your social on immediate basis because your social has been found suspicious for some illegal activities in your state. It's very time sensitive and urgent that I do hear back from you before we proceed further with the suspension of your social and assets. Please press one to speak to the officer. I repeat please press one to speak to the officer right away. Thank you.
