Just got a call. The caller actually tried to claim that we can find them on our BG&E bill, which is totally untrue.

"Robert" called for the owner of our company "to discuss a note on our electric bill." I told him he could send it to us in an email and he said his job is to discuss over the phone. I kept trying to get him to send us an email to our general "info" email address, and he kept trying to pin down a time to get ahold of the owner. He was pushy and rude and it was clearly a scam. He called from a 212 number, but gave 800-210-9011 ext 1998 as a callback number.

They called asking for my boss by last name. Asked what this is pertaining to and said this was a business call. Googled his number because is shows local number. Nothing came back. Told him he was busy and can I help him. Asked for someone higher up. I told him that I am the gate keeper and no unwanted calls will reach my boss. He said he need to speak to him and left the 800-210-9011 and of my boss to call him and hung up.

They sounded like a creditor or collection agency, which I don't have that issue.  "We are with AP&G and you should call us back ASAP at 800-210-9011 press 1 then extension 1687" but the caller ID says 914-200-1940?

Oldest sales call trick in the book. Take the assumptive tone that you know who the caller is & have a relationship with them. I don't know AP&G which stands for American Power & Gas, LLC & don't do business with them. Pretty sleezy company.

Got a call from 914-292-0353 listed as Bedford, NY.
Jadira Valentin (ext. 2387) asked to speak to the founder of the company who has passed.
Clearly a scam call.

A similar situation just happened to me; however, they called from an Arlington, PA phone number. Very pushy women!

Received a call offering to reduce our electric rates.  After seeing all of these comments, not sure how legit the call was.  How can I resolve this?

Got a call from a Jackie called from 440-226-3633 sort hard to understand where calling from but left #1-800-210-9011 to call back

"Amanda" from "Atlantic City Electric" called my job asking to speak with the "Financial Manager" regarding our bill. When asked for more info she seemed to get annoyed and continued asking for the number of the person to speak with even though I am not allowed to give out anyones personal info. She begrudgingly left a call back number 800-210-9011 extention 7934. Definitely a scam. I do not handle any of this and the REAL Atlantic City Electric has the proper numbers and info of who to call regarding any issues. Don't fall for it.

Call was from Paul at American Power & Gas. Had some sort of 'special offer'. Wanted to speak to the owner. When asked what sort of 'special offer', he was evasive and said the owner just needed to call him back.

I work as a CSR so I answer phones all the time. Dude was super shady and asked to speak to a specific guy, John something, which no one works at my company under that name. When I told him that he was like oh okay it's for that location. I asked what location, he gave me an address that literally doesn't exist. He then changed the address and I looked it up and a different business is there. I then was like that's not our address, and he was like well I can change the address but I know it's the right company and asked for a manager. I lied and said that all our managers were in a meeting and asked for a callback number. He gave me this number with ext 3104 and said he's with American Power & Gas and his name is Rylan. When we hung up I googled the number and this listing came up. Let my GM and the rest of our CSRs to not believe this person.

Call showed from 800-210-9011, Trinity on the line. Said it was AEP Energy and wanted to 'examine' our electric bill immediately. Left message with attendant and said to call back on extension 2773. Ran this number and 800 Notes site showed up first thing!

Was called on a landline with the caller ID reading AP&G. Caller never asked me for credit card information or to pay for anything, nor did she seem pushy or threaten to “pay this or we’ll turn off your power” or whatever. I was hesitant, but she seemed legit compared to any scam call I’ve ever heard/received before. Once she started asking to record me answering questions was when I was like “HMMM.”. I told her I wasn’t feeling comfortable answering further and said I’d rather have the owner of the business himself call you back…then she said “I’m sure the owner wouldn’t mind” and I knew it was a scam call lmao.

Claimed to be account rep with caller ID # (610) 440-3070 ... Tried to get me to switch electric service provide as I'm in the PECO area. Repeatedly forced a predatory attitude as I told him I would do my own research on the PA Power Switch website. I told him to not call again. I don't know how they circumvented my blocked call settings.

Calls 3xs a day and yes, they act real nice until their call is not going anywhere, and they turn on the aggression. This is a scam. Anyone in reception or just picking up a phone, beware.
