I know what you mean. My husband and I moved out of state and these people have the nerve to call my parents looking for me. I wrote them a letter to get them to cease with the phone calls hopefully it will make them stop. If not there is a website you can go to REALLY stop them in their tracks. i have them calling me to they been calling my mom's house saying they are gonna take me to court if i dont pay them and call my work and cell all day.i told them not to call me at the work place and he still called.im going to file a complaint with ftc.gov.everyone else should do the same.

acs person josh mabel called, we get periodic calls trying to track down my sister. i keep telling them that this isn't a work phone and refer them to her direct phone. they are always calling about a business matter.

continiously calling me at work leaving messages on my voice mail, such as it is imperative that you call this number today. i do not return their calls as i have already entered a debt solution program and have been with them since january 2007. how can these persons continue to call if your in a program like this one i'm in?

this company call an employer I haven't worked at since 1995 and demanded the HR department and immediate payment.  However, I don't know what the payment is to cover.

Why doesn't everyone just turn the tables on these turds. That's the ONLY way scum like this listens!  Call them back, repeatedly, hide your number using *67 and repeatedly annoy and harrass THEM. File complaints against the scum with the FTC, FCC, BBB and AG. Make life VERY difficult for them. Let them know the type of lowlife scum they are. That's the ONLY way these clowns will stop.  You have to make it difficult to continue as they are. When you're complacent, they continue. They are bottom feeders

They call every day for my husband about debt collection.  The thing is he paid off this debt in January and it never should have gone to ACS.  We've repeatedly called the bank that handled it originally and they acknowledge receiving the payment and state that they are going to call ACS to have them stop calling us... and they continue to call every day!   And on top of it all they are so rude!

i keep getting phone calls from this agency & it wont stop!!!!!!!!!!

I have received phone calls from these people. I tried to explain that the error was on the business and that I had proof. I also explained that I would not make payment on a bill that I didn't owe. I was also threatened, and told basically they don't make mistakeseven if I had proof. I told her that they were messing with my credit and that they needed to get this straight. She told me I had no legal standing and that if I didn't settle the debt (that I didn't owe)she would bring charges against me. Eventually, I told them I would have my lawyer contact them for me and if they were going to continue to call and not resolve the matter, I would much rather file bankruptcy than pay them a penny. The calls stopped for a while. They are starting again!!!!

I am on their list also......Demanding that I owe money on a Visa acct (never had a visa. I have been threated at work, at home and they evn call my older neighbors teling them to walk over and give e a message to cal them...They call me at work and scream obsenities at me and tell me if I do not give them right now $11,000 on a credit card towards the $24,000 balance then they will mae my life myserable by hounding everyone I know.....I have reported the harrasing calls to my local police dept...And have even changed my home number...If they continue to contact my place of business where I am not allowed personal calls, then charges will be pressed by my company against Academy Collections

They called here looking for my mother in law.  They got our machine, left a message to call back.  I called back, but the man who left the message wouldn't answer any of my questions, and then tried to act threatening when I kept asking questions.  He told me he'd keep calling until he got to her, then hung up on me.  When I called him back, he demanded I stop calling him and hung up on me again.  I actually called him back a third time, and he told me he was recording me.  I told him good, gave him my phone number and told him to stop calling our house.  I figured it was some kind of scam to steal from the elderly.  No way am I letting this guy anywhere NEAR my mother in law.  I'll see if I can report him and his company to someone.  I'm sure this can't be legal.  I have a name, number, and ext.  Now I have a clue what kind of racket they are running.  Thanks!

This number keeps calling me as well, my home number and my inlaws number. Giving them bogus questions and details, I have no idea why they would be calling me, and after reading these comments and actually afraid to call them back and get harassed.

I have received multiple calls from 800-220-0605. They are a collection agency, however I have told them repeatedly that this is a new cell number for me & that I have no idea who this person is they continue to ask for. All the reps from this company are RUDE,  IGNORANT, IDIOTS. I have asked for my number to be removed, All they do is hang up or call me a liar as well as that they will continue to call my number. One of the reps even threatened he was gonna call my cell number every 15mins, until I put the person they have been asking for or just admit that I am the person they are asking for. I told everyone of these reps to KISS MY [***] & that I will report this company for harassment.

Can these collection agencies sue us??  That is their latest threat to me and my family.
