    Alexander
Called me on the 6th and left a voicemail requesting that I call them back in regards to my mortgage after calling me ""Miss Alexander" I'm a guy and am currently up to date on my mortgage payments so they have no reason to call me.
Shadiest bank I've ever dealt with between the fact they lie and say they never receive information, paperwork or payments(even if you have proof they recieved it, call you for no reason at and their website forces you to a third party website to have you pay your mortgage.  I had thought Wells Fargo was a disaster of a mortgage holder but compared to M&T Wells Fargo is perfect.

M&T Bank.  I am not late on my payment. It is the 17th of the month, so no payment due for 2 more weeks.  These people are crazy.

    Befuddled
Called my office number to question me about my mortgage payment. However, they have never once sent me an e-mail or contacted me on my personal cell number. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

I just got a call from 800-220-6004 and came here to find out it was M&T mortgage.  Ironically I just made my payment yesterday, which is within the grace period.  While I am sure the payment hasn't been deducted from my account yet, it should be posted on their end.  I never thought I would say that I miss having my loan serviced by Wells Fargo. They never called after I made my payment.  Ridiculous!

Technically according to your mortgage contract your payment was late.  The grace period does not affect the due date or a payment being marked as late but only whether you are assessed late fees. Lenders are not even required to have a grace period.Virtually all lenders will reach out to customers once the due date has passed with no payment even if they have a grace period before late fees kick in and it affects your credit score.

My guess is that you regularly use the "grace period" and are constantly late with your payment.  That is why you are getting calls.  I doubt they would bother if it only happened one time.

I just received a call from this number and ignored it and then Googled the number and found it was from M&T bank and then called the number back to verify that it was actually M&T and it is their phone number.  I've no idea as to why they are calling me as I have no mortgage nor bank loans thru M&T or any other financial institution, so I blocked them

Terrible service. M&T Mortgage Services. They call one or 2 days into your 15 day grace period to harass you about when you are going to pay. Constantly being harrassed by them triggered my depression so bad that I decided to block all numbers I have for them especially this one and close my voicemail so they can't leave me messages. Pro tip: fill up your voicemail box with messages and don't delete any. Let friends and relatives text instead. Some phones have voice memo where people can leave voice texts. Apparently the govt is tougher on text spam than phonecall spam so the bank can't text unless you opt into text communication.

If you paid your mortgage on time you would not be getting those calls.  I don't think that this is "Terrible service" since you are past due on your payments every month.  You should have had your lawyer explain the terms of the contract since you didn't understand them.

How do you "especially" block a phone number?
