- Melanie| 4 repliesIt's Delta. They are calling you regarding your scheduled flight.
- Caller: Delta
- RSmith| 2 repliesDiedre, a lady with an Indian or Pakistani accent, called me to tell me of a flight cancellation or delay. I'm not sure which since I was trying to get her attention by saying her name repeatedly. When she finally responded, I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and to never call me again.

- bobbieThey just called me too, have a flight with a friend on a different airline, i only assume it was a misdial or they are scamming folks when they are not busy, but it is delta.

- ConfusedI just got six missed calls from this number, starting at 3am! It didn't leave a message at all but my mom is on a plane no clue which airline though. Really weird. Anytime I've ever taken a plane, the airline will call but it leaves a message.
- Caller: Says Delta
- Mark Weaver| 4 repliesI called this number myself. It is supposed to be a toll free number to Delta Airlines for help when making flight reservations online from their website. I had no idea they would put a charge on my cell phone bill when I called them. After all, the number is an "800" number. In addition, they also charged my debit card a $20 charge for helping me with the reservation. They also did not tell me about that charge. I just found it in my debit card statement. After a return phone call and a pretty heated conversation, they agreed to, and did, put the $20 back into my checking account. Now I find this $15.75 charge on my cell phone bill. This is stealing. Apparently the folks at Delta are crooks. They are about to hear from me again. The last time I checked, stealing was against the law.

- Non-delta traveller| 3 repliesI have never traveled on Delta nor am I booked on a flight with them in the future. I received a call at 3:01 am last night which I did not answer and they did not leave a message. I then received another call at 3:03 am which I did answer. It was a recording something along the lines of 'For an update on your flight information press 1' I hung up. Like a previous poster stated any other airline I've received valid calls from has left a message.
- scott m replies to Mark Weaver| 2 repliesidiot, airlines charge for phone reservations! Next the 15.75 had nothing to do with your phone call. Stay home, the clueless keep the rest of us traveling without hassle. Oh by the way you cant bring that bottle of beer through security!
- scott m replies to Non-delta traveller| 1 replyWhat was it NWA? Are you aware of all of the airlines Delta is associated with? Do you really think the pulled the number out of the air? It was most likely a code share flight that was on an actual Delta plane.
- Rachel replies to scott m| 1 replyYou are the kind of person that makes travelling so much fun to complain about. Charging without notice or consent IS illegal! Idiot.
I guess some people just can't handle their beer. - Rachel| 1 replyI just got a call from this number, but didn't answer it. They didn't leave a message, so after I looked up the number and read all the complaints, I called it back. The representative I spoke with looked up flights with my last name. She found nothing. I asked her if she could search by my phone number and she did, but again found nothing. Then she asked if I wanted her to look using a credit card number. I said no. She said she didn't know why I got the call, it must have been a mistake.
- jimI almost didn't answer this anonymous call. It contained flight change information. Apparently Delta (or Northwest, or Mesaba, or whoever will actually accept responsibility) can't be bothered to even properly identify the source of the call.
- HildaThey called at 3am and at 3:05am. I didn't answer either calls since I was asleep. Then two more calls this morning. I picked up the second one, and just as a previous poster wrote. There was an automated message telling me to press 1 for more info about my reservation.
I went online and checked the airlines for any flight changes, but found no changes. Is this a legit notification system from Delta? I wanted to press 1 to see what they would tell me, but didn't want to bother if they are going to charge me $30 for absolutely no reason.- Caller: Delta Airlines
- LucyI received a call from this number. It was a recorded message. It was Southwest airlines saying they were changing my flight to Delta. Gave the flight info and new confirmation number. I have never traveled either of these airlines, nor do I have any current travel plans. I wonder if they just dialed a wrong number. Some poor soul is going to be surprised when their plans have changed and they weren't notified
- sweetsguys, if you're flying on any of their flight affiliates they may have changed the flight to a delta flight. it is a courtesy call and either you or someone else put the number for emergency contact in case of flight changes down. no worries, its an automated system.

- JohnI have no flight reservations (with any airline) and have been getting this same call.. strange...
- Pissed| 1 replyThis number 800-221-1212 called my home at 3:19 and 3:23 AM today (Feb 11, 2010)
We have no travel plans, no scheduled flights NOTHING! Why are they calling me??? I have small children that were trying to sleep! RIDICULOUS!!!! - asiralc| 2 repliesJust got a call from this number a few moments ago. They just wanted to let me know that my husband's flight back home was delayed by an hour. If you have received a call from this number someone has put your number as a contact on a flight reservation. It's harmless.

- concernedI just got a call from 800 221 1212... this has to be a scam or hoax... they called my business line about a flight that is going from Albuquerque to Salt Lake... I live in STL and have no travel plans, nor does anyone in the office. I would suggest that people keep reporting and possibly pick up the phone to report to the BBB at www.bbb.org to catch these crooks.

- Rex Kramer| 2 repliesI have gotten 5 calls from this same number today. I don't fly anywhere and have nothing to do with airlines. I have a prepaid phone where the number is not given out to many people at all. The calls started after 5pm today. I don't like getting these calls and am appalled that they are coming in on a cheap prepaid phone. I could see something more personal. The airlines are probably trying to get people to fly any way they can. Even if it means that they have to take people hostage through their cell phones. If you wear them down maybe they will buy the ticket. Typical of the society we live in now. Since I am not buying a ticket on a plane somewhere then I can lose my phone minutes. Not quite a fair exchange, but something that fits the bloated airlines.
