Credit for a ticket

I called Delta to ask about Quarantine requirements and they took my confirmation code and said we were bumped from the flight. He said we needed to pay $400 to get switched to the business section on the same flight, but couldn't take my bank card number because they are working from home and he had me buy prepaid cards from a store and give him the card number. Then said they were denied and had me buy more.

While this is a Delta phone number, I also doubt you called THIS number and they asked for Gift Cards as payment.  ONLY scammers ask for gift cards to pay for something.
More than likely, you misdialed and called a scammer's number, as they have numbers as close to the real ones as they can get,  so they can catch unsuspecting victims. ......or you are a scammer trying to mislead people here.
