- MrNatalie replies to PeterOH, NO! That would actually make sense! Delta is obviously trying to SCAM these poor people out of their valuable phone minutes! :-)
- robert replies to MelanieIm siting in WA waiting for a flight thats delayed , knew it was once i landed here about an hour later i got a call to tell me that. ya im sitting here i know . but yes its delta. among others.
- Mickey0730This is a courtesy call to tell you your flight has a problem and you may have been rebooked.... If you are flying at any time soon you should consider this call as a notification of some kind of change and pay attention... Unfortunately my notification came AFTER I had already caught an earlier flight because of NO IMMEDIATE notification of the change. Do NOT assume that what yo are rebooked on is the best option, it is most likely not... Call or go online for a better flight option to fit your needs. My rebooking was 2 days later and I was able to catch an earlier flight the same day, only because I re-checked flight status.
- Caller: Delta or other partner
- CharlesDelta called the cell number that I provided to let me know that my flight was delayed. The message included the confirmation number for my flight, the flight number, and the new departure time. A completely legitimate call in my case.
- Caller: Delta Airlines
- Call type: Event reminder
- SpencerThis was the first phone call I got after stepping off a plane arriving from out of the country, and before I even reached the airport monitors I had been informed of my connecting flight being delayed. Very convenient, and it really takes the stress out of flying knowing that when you land your airline will tell you if there is a change before you find out for yourself. In my case I was awarded 1000 bonus miles for completing a short customer relations survey regarding the delay.

- SandyMy daughter received a call on her answering machine from this number concerning MY reservation. Her number is NOT part of my reservation. When I called back the woman who answered said they needed to update our travel information and wanted the document info from our passports. She said that without it TSA would not allow me to fly! When I started asking questions about it and said I preferred to check with our agent she promptly hung up on me. Legitimate? I doubt it.
- Caller: Supposedly Delta
- BenThey try to sell me a ticket. I was close to be stolen

- Extracharge? So I didn't pick up when this number call and a woman left a message that the Travel Authority (or something similar) requires them to have my date of birth and the government ID info that I use when traveling. They asked me to call them back with the information. So I called and did what they asked and the woman also asked if I would rather have an aisle seat or window seat. That's it.
No I read here that I might get an extra charge for this? That would suck and I am not going to accept that. I mean, I know I should have thought about it beforehands, but they can't take advantage of me like that, can they?
I f**king hate these companies..- Caller: Delta
- Hamilton nGUYENI got many calls from 800-221-1212
I use mAgiC jACK as number.
I don't know why Delta have my number and call me continuously for nothing.- Call type: Event reminder
- None Idiot| 1 replyParanoid Stupids. Listen up. It's Delta's automated messaging call back system. Sorry if that doesn't fit into your jaded view of the world but believe it or not delta isn't out to steal your precious minutes, your just not that important, get over it.
You either got this call because
(a) Your flight was cancelled, delayed, moved etc.
(b) Your on someones next of kin / emergency contact list. (This could be the case and you might not realize it, ask around.)
(c) Someone simple inputted the wrong number on the callback system.
The reason no voice message was left was because, yes you guessed, ITS AUTOMATED. It will either give you the information you need or if you stay on the line put you forward to a rep.
Check the Delta website if your still skeptical, then again if your still skeptical, then there's probably no hope for you at all.- Caller: Delta Airlines
- mkreceived multiple calls from Delta. First re delayed flight, second re cancelled flight.
I don't fly.
Assuming they had the wrong number for a real customer, I called back to let them know they had the wrong person. They seemed genuinely concerned, but as flights were booked via an outside agency which provided the number, they had no way to contact the passenger.
_Howcome there is no "other" in the Call type?- Caller: Delta Airlines
- Jess replies to Mark WeaverMaybe you should take that up with your cell phone company...dee da dee....
- Wanda| 1 replyThis is a phishing scam number. I just got an email supposedly from Delta with this number on it....I got the Delta number off their website (it was a different number) and called them and they said it was a scam.
- Eggrocket replies to WandaI got the same scam email today.
- Wookiee| 1 replyCall is legitimate. If you call it back you will reach Delta Airlines. I received a courtesy call concerning my itinerary which included the confirmation code. Unfortunately, I am not the named individual on that confirmation code but it did lead the Delta rep to the record where a travel agency had entered the wrong number. Delta fixed the problem in a few minutes so I expect that I will receive no further calls.
Having experienced such courtesy calls myself for flights that are mine, I fully appreciate the value of this service. Unfortunately, this means that you have to put up with erroneous calls due to inept people who can’t seem to enter a correct telephone number.- Caller: Delta

- madjohn replies to WookieeYou did good. Perhaps by making Delta aware of the problem you are helping them to avoid that type of mistake in the future.
- JoeThis is Delta Air Lines. They were calling to let me know my flight had been delayed by three hours. I didn't answer it since I didn't recognize the number but they left me a voicemail. Very kind of them.

- Office adminCall from 800-221-1212. Answered my boss's line and heard an automated message that today's flight (gave me a 5 character confirmation code that was not valid) from Boston to Atlanta had a time change. Saw this website and then called Delta. The Delta agent said I was the first person to report this problem. I told him to google their number and see what comes up. He is aware that many people are receiving fake emails from Delta telling them to click on a link to check in for their flight.

- Raj replies to RachelThe same thing happened to me. I missed a call from this num. When i called to inquire the reason, the representative couldn't provide any. I hope that I not getting hit by another call assistance charge as mentioned by someone above.
- Mrs TThey did leave a voice message on my phone, when making reservation I did provide my number. Informing me that my flight got delayed. I went online to check the flight status and it did show my flight was delayed. So hopefully no extra charges since I did not call back.....
