- KayteThis number is an interesting one. I received a call from the real FPL with this number which was quite legitimate. It was a confirmation of a new service order at a new address. However, it’s apparent that someone(s) are spoofing this number to “collect on bills”. FPL does not call re your past due bill. As always, be cautious. If someone calls and tells you you owe FPL (or anyone) money and wants your financial info over the phone, hang up and call FPL directly or go to their website to view/pay bills.
