This number is an interesting one. I received a call from the real FPL with this number which was quite legitimate. It was a confirmation of a new service order at a new address. However, it’s apparent that someone(s) are spoofing this number to “collect on bills”. FPL does not call re your past due bill. As always, be cautious. If someone calls and tells you you owe FPL (or anyone) money and wants your financial info over the phone, hang up and call FPL directly or go to their website to view/pay bills.

I recieve a call to from this number  a Dominic accent telling me that i didnt pay my bill for 2 month and if i dont pay a that moment they shut off my service ,  And it was a scam .

Called stating that I'm behind my FPL payment; therefore, my service was going to get disconnected unless I take appropriate action immediatly

I received a call from ‭(800) 226-3545‬ and this message was left. It’s a scam.

“Contact with our billing department as soon as possible please contact our corporate office at 1-888-738-5529 I repeat 1-888-738-5529 if you wish to communicate directly please press one remember to call as soon as possible because the disconnection order is already in process we apologize for the inconvenience…”

Text saying my electricity was going to be shut off because of past due payments. I have never been late paying my bill. They said it was FPL.

they called at 2:45 in the morning regarding shutting off services that I do not even have

They have called twice saying that they are going to disconnect our service.

I received a call from ‭+1 (800) 226-3545‬ identified as FPL reference a disconnect for non payment FAKE FPL SCAM  all my accounts up to date and no balances.

Its a scam, it isn't FPL . They are trying to get you to pay by saying they haven't received payment and are about to disconnect you

Same experience in the past. If you are an FPL customer FPL doesn't send a tech to shut off your power.  They send you to a bitcoin place to make payment.  It's a scam.

FPL called and recorded on my phone that they were sending drones over my area to test their equipment.....This has to be a scam.....My caller ID said the area code was from Texas, so the call was not from FPL because I live in Florida.....My caller ID did not indicate the call was from FPL either.......So beware you are not scammed by this new method of deception.....

I checked this number out and it is actually from Florida Power and Light and they are actually now using :DRONES" to fly over their equipment to test them out....

I received a call that my FPL service will be disconected

Fake call trying to tell you your electric is going to be shut off.  They claim to be from Florida Power and Light.  They keep calling back.  DON'T ANSWER.  CALL THE POLICE AND REPORT IT.

FPL called to announce they will have drones in my neighborhood.

this is a DEFINITE scam.  they spoof the number.  my call said we hadn't paid fpl and the truck was in the neighborhood and was going to turn off power in an hour unless i went to winn dixie or walgreens and purchased a "moneypak" for $498.17.  Then they told me to call them with the confirmation number and that was the only way to keep my power on.  said i can NOT make a payment online because it will not post in time.  total [***] scam

Recorded message says it's FPL warning they will turn power off - scam, we don't owe FPL

Stating it was FPL and they were going to disconnect the electricity for non payment. I hung up since the phone I was answering was in Lake Worth and deals with Lake Worth Utilities.
