- LeighSome woman named Donya called into my company and asked for someone in accounts payable or the president of the company. She was very rude and pushy. I asked her what it was in regards to and she couldn't answer that question for me - just stating, "whoever pays the bills." She needed a serious attitude adjustment. I hung up on her.

- jj| 1 replyI receive daily calls from this number and as soon as I answer it hangs up. Reading these posts I had a lease through Ally on a GMC and the car has been returned and I leased a different vehicle..not sure what this is about but it almost seems like prank calls.

- Smitty| 4 repliesJust got a call/vm. Just said to call them. Had a car thru Ally. Was totaled for hail damage. Ally said I owed money yet I had Gap insurance. Called and confirmed with a rep that I did. Got all documented. Name, everything. Done. Now 5 years later, they're trying again. Blocked and reported.
- Jessica replies to Smitty| 3 repliesDid they honor your GAP insurance? I had a car with GAP totaled and they're trying to come after me for the remaining balance because they refuse to give the GAP company the info they need to process everything.
- BigA replies to JessicaThe first thing I would do is file a complaint with your State Attorney General. I would also contact the Insurance Commission in your state as well. You may have to consult an attorney as this may be a subrogation claim which is not covered under the FDCPA or state collection laws.
- TJNCalled them at 6pm, CST, on Thursday, 9/13/18, and received a message that they were closed as their hours are till 10pm, Eastern time, Monday through Friday. Guess they don't know how to tell time.

- KeyPointe replies to jjdid you resolve it? Similar situation here...
- Cathy replies to Jessica| 1 replyYour situation sounds very familiar. I had GAP insurance on a pickup that was totaled. The GAP insurance was something Ally insisted on to finance the truck. When I first spoke to GAP, they told me what they wanted, but when I spoke to Ally they had no clue what that was & the guy said he didn't know why I was asking for this paperwork because the insurance had paid the truck off. Since we had just gone thru a hurricane, I asked in writing & verbally for them to contact each other & work it out. So I hear nothing from either for 9+ months, now I get multiple calls daily wanting me to pay up or else. They start the calls on Sunday mornings about 8a, which in the state of TX is illegal.
- BigA replies to CathyFirst, I would be curious to know which Texas law you are referring to that states collection calls cannot be made at 8 am. Second, your first problem was doing something this important verbally. It should have been done in writing. You will now need to hire a lawyer to handle this as this is a subrogation claim and is not covered under the FDCPA.
https://occc.texas.gov/consumers/debt-collection-practicesQuote:How may a debt collector contact you?
A collector may contact you in person, by mail, telephone, telegram, or fax. However, a debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8:00 a.m. or after 9:00 p.m., unless you agree. A debt collector also may not contact you at work if the collector knows that your employer disapproves of such contacts. - B MaierWeb site i make payment to ally through says paud in full, a month later i get a call saying i owe another 315 dollars and to pay through western union

- Chris| 1 replyI returned a leased vehicle a few months back serviced by ally financial. They had account info last payment date and a bunch of other personal information. Was sent a letter w ally header and phone calls leaving messages saying i owed money. I called ally number posted on the website and they confirmed that this number that called me was not associated with ally and that i Dont have any balance. The best part of this was that after filing police reports and sending them along w cfpb and the ftc all the info including the voicemail, i than realized that after they left a voicemail they never hung up and the people called and placed a food order to their address lol. It is being investigated and anyone who receives a call from this number should not respond

- Bill replies to ChrisThis number is definitely a number to the Ally office in Texas. Whoever told you that it wasn't an Ally number in customer service didn't know what they were talking about. You probably owe "EMW" (excess mileage or wear) charges. You should probably call them back because if you owe that money under your contract. I would ask for a supervisor and talk about your voicemail you got though. That seems unprofessional.
- Slb| 1 replyGot a 1099-C in the mail today 4/11 for my taxes I did 2 months ago. It says debt forgiven 12/19/2021. Like, what debt?

I havent had a car loan past due in probably 10 years. I dont even recognize the name on the form. Never had anything with Ally or Nuvell... called & they want SS#.. they couldn't pull up from tracking # listed on form as acct #. Umm. No.
Scary that it has my social on it, though.

- BigA replies to SlbPer the IRS that form should have been mailed out no later then the end of January so that you would have had it to do your taxes in February. I would certainly fight it with the IRS.
- LAVERNE MITCHELL| 1 replySame thing just yesterday and they insist in having my social security number and then gave out a number non existence. Imagine that.
