Same as everyone, thank you for sharing it was a scam. Scary part is they called me mins after i typed the SSN into an online banking verification

They said my Social Security Number was suspended.  So far, they called me twice.  It's obvious it's a scam.  Also, it sounded like a computer was calling.

I received a call from 1 800 241 8697.  I was not available to answer so it went to voice mail.  It told me my account had been suspended due to suspicious activity.  I plan to contact my state's fraud hotline, the local newspaper and the REAL Social Security Department to report this scam artist.

Got the same message from 2 different numbers.

“This call is from the legal department of social security administration this is to inform you that your Social Security number has been suspended because we found some suspicious activity running under your Social Security number to know more about this case please press one now…”

Yeah, the robo voice actually left a message saying my SSN has been suspended due to "suspicious activity running under your SSN."
Pffffft.  Like I don't already know that any robo-voice spouting incorrect grammar is after my money and my info.
I sincerely hope NO ONE falls for this.  I always wonder though, where they originate.

TELLS ME MY SSA NUMBER IS SUSPENDED

Yup, I got the same message from a woman robo voice claiming to be the “Legal Dept of Social Security Administration” about a half hour ago. It was stated that “suspicious activity was found running under your SSN”.
Suspected it was a scam, but researched to make sure. Sure enough loads of people were dealing with this BS as well. I never answer the phone when I don’t recognize the #.  I first just always let it go to the VM to see who it is and find out what they are after. That way I could google the the number/company to see if it’s legit or not. If still uncertain, I’ll call my legitimate bank,credit bureau or whatever the matter to be sure. I urge everyone to do the same!!!! Damn con artist’s!!

Same story as all the others.  Always check for spam before responding to any phone number.

These guys don't quit.  I got another call today from the same phone number.  The least these scammers could do is call from a different phone number.

That the same number who left two voicemails. I don’t pick if it says it’s an unknown number
