Called claiming to be Comcast, explaining that my internet had a virus and to remove it I would need to get on my computer and tell them the information of my computer. After questioning them in suspicion of it being a scam, I asked to speak to the manager. The man in the phone agreed to give it to his manager. However, when he gave the phone to his "manager," it was the same man on the phone faking a higher pitched voice. After I threatened to call the police and called it a scam, the man on the phone became irritable and aggravated rather quickly. IT'S A SCAM.

I got a call from this number. He told me he’s from technical support and I have a virus on my computer, I need to turn it on and he can then tell me what to do. I asked his name and he said it so fast, with a heavy accent, I couldn’t make out what he was saying. Asked him to repeat and he mumbled the same so fast I could not understand. I asked who he was with. He said Apple technical support. Where are you located? He didn’t understand that. I asked where are you calling from? He said Salt City, UT. (He said oot, not Utah). I asked where is oot? He mumbled something incomprehensible. He said you need to turn on your computer and I can tell you how to get rid of the virus. I told him I don’t have a computer. He asked if I had a laptop. No I don’t. All I have is an iPad. He said, oh turn on your iPad and I can tell you how to get rid of your virus. I asked how does he know I have a virus and why would it be on my iPad. I went around and around with him for about five minutes until he hung up on me. I felt something was very suspicious when he was being very pushy and persistent about trying to get me to turn on my computer so he could tell me how to get rid of that virus.
DON’T give out any information to this number. It’s a hoax!!!!

This is such a scam.  Sometimes I pretend they are a long lost cousin.  I ask how their mother is and how the kids are.  The last guy got so confused.  I am calling about your windows, so I said, but insert cousin's name, you know I don't need windows mine are just fine.  It so befuddled him I didn't get a call from them for a couple of months.  If the call you mess with them they don't know what to do.

He could hardly speak English and said I had an error on my internet connection and he wanted to help me!!  When I kept asking him to repeat what he said and asked again who he worked for, He said he would put his boss on.  His "boss" spoke no better and I told them that if I needed their help I would call them.  He tried to tell me that wouldn't work and I told him he was a scam and hung up!

    1. ROBO-CALLS are by federal law illegal.

BUT more important the person receiving them can start or join in a class action lawsuit against these bottom feeders-------type in TopClassAction and see the lists of class action lawsuits against these bottom feeders, I joined in on a established lawsuit, since it was established it did not cost me anything, it MAY have cost me something to start a lawsuit, actually I doubt it.

Today I received a settlement check for $47,

Make these bottom feeders pay for disturbing you.
